I recently picked up this Hamilton 747, the serial number places its date of manufacture as 1952. I apologize for the quality of the photos, I'm still working on doing close-ups.
A 1450 bracelet (thanks to @Andy K for the help ) it's a bastard with a No. 12 clasp: But somehow i like it.
My first post to this thread. A recent ebay find; 1948 Bulova President, 17j 10AK movement, 10k gold filled case, 5x signed. Keeps excellent time and was a screaming bargain at $27 plus $3 shipping.
Incoming: June 1967 manual wind Seiko Sportsman 36mm! I'll get a new crystal, dump the stretch band for a nice leather strap and Im looking for a vintage Seiko steel buckle. How can you not love the seahorse engraved on the case back? These are sellers pictures. Another ebay find.
Just a single package arrived today... As you can see, every single watch was packed into its separate pocket A fun exercise to open each one individually... I'll spare you the less than attractive ones and just highlight the top ones from the lot: A Certina trio (making it a total of 9 Certinas in the collection..!): A duo of lovely, LOVELY Midos: And a single IWC: The case on the above is pretty darn nice and completely unpolished. I'm guessing that the dial is original too, given the rest of the condition (I know that these are tricky to judge original or redialed), but I'd love to get an opinion of the hands. The research I've done seem to confirm them as correct (both type and length), but I am not certain. While the IWC is, by far, the most valuable in the lot, the one I was most bowled over by was the central seconds Mido Multifort - it is simply exquisite! What is less than obvious is that it a two-tone! The bezel is gold, matching the indices and hands. Everything on this watch just screams class and effortless style - and the condition is near perfect too. Wow!
