Totally out of line with the rest of my collection but I had to own this one and make sure it got the care and attention it deserves ... I probably won't have it for long ... although I could keep this and sell my VC? From 1948, gold capped lugs and bezel with a stainless steel case the body of the watch is flawless. The crown, I'm not at all sure of although the only other photograph I've found so far of this reference looks remarkably similar. The glass has some deep crazing which spoils the view of the dial but the dial has aged really nicely. Movement is a little belter. I reckon one of the very first 342s. Like @Dre I’ve also been getting some UG stuff. I’ve always wanted some of these UG keys and I was offered this 15 piece set.
I went cheap. 5 bucks at the thrift shop. Manual wind, 2 hours on the wrist and keeping time. It looks nice, but I know it isn't worth much more than I paid. Still fun though and I scratched that itch for today. Please don't tell me I am the only one who does this. LOL McK
