All I can say is Haveston will be getting more of my business in future. The hardware is great, the strap is heavy duty but comfortable and the presentation is spot on.
My first Seiko. An Alpinist on a croc strap I had leftover from my now sold Railmaster. It's a little reminder that once the kids are all out of school, I may reacquire a RM.
My WTB ad bore fruit! I was offered several Speedmasters, but in the end this 105.012-66 found its way to me, courtesy of an awesome forum member:
This is the first CB case I've ever handled. I used to struggle to notice the difference in photos, but now I find myself looking at the lugs first when I look at my wrist!
Here in some harsh light to show off that step dial:
I had to part ways with some beloved watches to make this happen, especially since my Speedmaster hunt coincided with a few unexpected home repairs, but still totally worth the sacrifice!
So ... not just bought today ... but it went to my watchmaker right after buying the package which originally included the 18K 14381/2 SC 4, Constellation box, papers and hang tag. It came with a silver dial. But I had an NOS black piepan dial and handset. Wanted to make the switch and I just got it back yesterday all done and completely serviced. Hard to do it justice with the pics. It think its my favourite Connie now.
This is the first "NOS" watch I've purchased. And I can't wait to have it serviced and wear the heck out of it!
Leonidas CP2 with a dial that has suffered a bit, you can blame Zapon for that (it happened to a lot of NOS CP2s)
