This is the first "NOS" watch I've purchased. And I can't wait to have it serviced and wear the heck out of it!
Leonidas CP2 with a dial that has suffered a bit, you can blame Zapon for that (it happened to a lot of NOS CP2s)

I thought I recognized the markings on this watch at first, but it turns out it was Greek to me.::rimshot::

I'll show myself out...

EI stands for Esercito Militare, or the Italian army.
Basically it's a Heuer Bund before Heuer bought Leonidas. They were ordered by the Italian army for helicopter pilots, but a batch was never issued but never given to the troops. There was a state auction in the 1990's for a big lot of unworn watches, and this is one of them (the same thing happened last year with the Breitling 817)

For the record...I have commenced self-initiated chore-time to hopefully lighten the upcoming wrath of MacGyverette. 👍

How can she be mad? Wait until she sees the beautiful movement!

My WTB ad bore fruit! I was offered several Speedmasters, but in the end this 105.012-66 found its way to me, courtesy of an awesome forum member:

This is the first CB case I've ever handled. I used to struggle to notice the difference in photos, but now I find myself looking at the lugs first when I look at my wrist!

Here in some harsh light to show off that step dial:

I had to part ways with some beloved watches to make this happen, especially since my Speedmaster hunt coincided with a few unexpected home repairs, but still totally worth the sacrifice! ::psy::
Why do so many Speedies (one of mine included) have that dent at the 9 o clock? I've never worked out what people have managed to do to dent the bezel just there. Were there lots of leftie speedie owner(ies)?

Mine have that too...

I made it myself - dropped it.

I can't "like" that comment but it could be the reason is that simple - maybe the centre of gravity of the watch means it always falls that way.

We need to get 30 forum members with 30 of their vintage watches to drop them at exactly the same time onto a level concrete surface ... I think from a height of two metres should be enough. Any volunteers?

Got this last week, went directly to my watchmaker for a new Acrylic crystal.

1952 Clebar
Landeron 248 mvmnt w/ the Original box & tags. Still has the old weird spring-bars too. Immaculate condition for a 65 yr old watch. I hope I look this good @ 65 yrs old. Got it for penny's on the $$.

Just look @ those chamfered lugs still present. B4 new crystal

Went & picked her up today

Heh, not sure. Mine came "pre-dented", hopefully meaning I won't beat myself up over adding the next dent!

Bought this today off eBay! I need somebody to identify it, literally found no pictures of it online! It has a Seiko movement which is disappointing, but at the price I got it at I could afford a real one! But please, identify this De Ville for me!

Looks like a Franken to me & a redial, & a Seiko mvnt = No Buenos. Send it back unless you knew about the mvmnt.
Wait a 2nd , Is that the mvmnt holder tab sticking out on the dial @ the 2 o'clock position?

I kind of knew it was a Franken, but I won it for 40 bucks. I haven't paid yet but the case by itself is probably worth that as it's original.

I'm not an Omega know it all but ,I've never seen that case on a DeVille
I believe that's the mvmnt holder tab inside the dial where it should not be

Here's what the back looks like, if it doesn't seem original I won't go through with it. I was really hoping this was something special.
