Ah hahahaaaaaa!!!

I would have loved to see your face when reality sunk in 馃榿
Just so you can imagine my face, the second box that I opened contains the full (25 volume) collection of the Works of Sir Walter Scott. Abebooks has an incomplete set up for sale at the moment, asking 拢110. The spines on mine need consolidating as there's some red rot but I have a bookbinder I use for rare books and I think these might be worth saving. There's also a first edition of Huxley's Art of Seeing (1942) and so far I'm up to 7 Kiplings, 3 Thomas Hardys and 7 that I've put aside as "interesting" ... just 11 more boxes to go.

Was I swearing not to buy another watch this year? Yes. Was I looking for a 38mm Uni? Hell no. Did this sing to me? Yea it did. I need to have an EU friend carry the UG signed NOS strap to me since it is lizard skin. Won't see that till late Sept. It's coming in with a leaf hand for my 38mm Tri that will hopefully fit.

On Saturday, after being so many years restrained by the thickness issue, not a real problem, at all.

I found this Seiko A904 LCD Chronograph an estate sale over the weekend ($3.00). It should make a few bucks on Ebay.

It's not often you come across a gilt datejust. Yesterday had the chance to buy two of them!

Nice pair Emile!

Finally a Speedmaster for my collection. A 1967. A bit rough around the edges but recently serviced. Has some new bits on it, but comes with all the original parts too.

Nothing fancy, picked up a new MG omega buckle which I think is close enough to time correct for my recently acquired 68' transitional.

Also grabbed a 78' speedy, pics to come upon arrival.

New chromexcel shoes for the Sport Chief and a clunky, funky Rodania, strap to be determined. Both just back from the watchmaker.

A sei tacche two tone (with, I think, relumed hands) and a pre-tacche(?). My first forays into this era of Longines collecting.
