Seller wouldn't ship out of the UK so had it shipped to my family in London. Just made it to them and got this quick shot. Now the hard wait till end of the month when they come to visit.
Omega Geneve 166.163. From the early 70s with a cal 1012 in a nice 18k case ....
There's a mark on the rotor and inside the caseback but the new seal and the fact that the rotor doesn't appear at all loose now makes me think that it's an older problem that's been rectified .... although the dirt inside the caseback makes me less sure. The hands have a couple of marks on them and one of the inserts has vanished altogether. @Archer, would you mind looking up the part number for the handset when you have a spare few minutes, please?
Anyway, here she is after a few doses of polywatch and a quick wipe with a cape cod cloth:
Bonus post:
These two were in a bag that I bought for the rare Hussars shoulder pins and insignia .... paid under 拢60 for the bag and these two watches are both running well - their bracelets are currently soaking to remove the massive amount of former owner that is still in the endlinks.
The "Flyer" is really quite sweet with an FHF 72 under the hood, I'm guessing, from the late 60s.
Negotiations over the weekend, purchased yesterday, arrived this morning. It's a little slice of military awesome.
Fully serviced, unrefinished case, new crystal. Not too keen on the provided strap, but it'll do for now until I get my Revo canvas straps. So, that's two arms of the military in the collection. Navy to go. 馃槑
