Seriously, this watch! My gosh... this watch! Look at the darn thing with it's adorable little Rolex headgear on the bezel!
I even said to Matt privately, it's not really a grail, in a lot of senses, but in others it totally is. I kind of see
grail acquisitions as something that come with a risk of getting into deep trouble with loved ones, where they're sure you've gone completely mad, where they arrange a circle of chairs and lock the door and tell you everyone's come because they love and care about you.

this watch! It is, to my eyes, the most perfect current production Rolex, period. I have a serious weakness for time-only pieces, and I just know this is going to be a major "friend" during the rest of the journey of my life. Basel be damned, this was destined to be, and in
that sense it's totally a grail piece.
