Picked up this from an out of town bricks and mortar over the weekend. Always wanted one and have missed more than a few over the years.
Actually I want more than one, as these pre-1940 Scarabs fascinate me. I am of course especially hunting ones with original dials. I've seen some lovely ones that alas were not for sale.馃檨
Larger ones like this CK2014 SC medicus are hard to find.
This one has a refinished dial (script discrepancies due to crystal distortion) but the watch is in very nice shape and the dial fairly close to original designs and has no blemishes. So dial be dammed I bought it.
For me it was kind of a breaking the ice, at least now I have one. Maybe they will start flooding in now 馃槈

Lovely watch, this one deserves a double post in the "look at those LUGs" thread!
And the strap looks like a beautiful ostrich leg skin too...

I wanted to say I bought this, but deal is not finished yet.
I was approached by a friend who asked if I was interested... I said I wanted to have a look and think about it.
I think it is real stunner, but not entirely sure it is 100% accurate - dial looks just too good.. (I have this mantra; if it sounds too good, it probably is.. not sure I can apply that here)...
What does the expertise thinks?

Hej Jesper.

You should probably have posted it somewhere else... This is for showing off your newest indulgence, not for vetting potential purchases. I'd say that you're holding a redialed watch, though it has been done well. The "Automatic" script and the "SWISS MADE" looks off and the lume is clearly redone. I could be wrong, but that's my take.

Thanks for that. I so wanted it to be my newest indulgence, but I was (rightly) unsure.
Still new here, so learning my way around this forum.

This arrived Monday, sort of. The watch arrived Monday with this dial, a refinish. Neatly done, but very incorrect. The watch itself was in excellent condition. Nice 2364 30T2RG

I had this dial from a last year purchase.
A quick dial swap and now the watch has an original dial.

Loaded is bad enough, but when it is an auto Visa with a 16 watch magazine 馃槖

Excuses, I doubt 'it didn't cost much' is going to help with her ladyship 馃榾

Scratching my Polerouter itch with this lovely (when I get a new crystal) Tissot.

And an Apple Watch band for the gf for v-day. I'm very surprised at the quality of this leather and buckle from Nomad. It feels phenomenal.

Two part dial ?
Looks like it. Not a lot of description from the seller and pictures were blurry. It looks legit to me and it wasn't very expensive so I decide to test it out. I don't know how much it will cost to get it into Canada so that was another test. Coming in from Serbia.
