A white engraved bezel New Yorker from about 1930. This is a super sharp original example from a collector friend, an upgrade from a similar one I had for years and which I recently sold to a much younger (newbie) friend as an engagement gift from his fiancee. He's pleased, I'm pleased... 馃槑
I've mentioned previously in this thread that I have several weak spots when it comes to vintage - chief among them 50+ y.o. pieces in pristine condition. And I love what I perceive to be a bargain. I bought this because it was looking pristine, I took the statement that it was recently serviced as credible and at the price I paid that would just be a bonus if it was serviced.
I've had it for a couple of days and it's keeping incredible time. The simple hand wind movement looks clean and the gasket is fresh.
The 35mm sized case is in excellent condition; in fact, the only mark on the back I put there being ham handed with my case opener.
And the dial and crystal are about perfect. The lume still has some life to it.
