Just bought this from a fellow member. It will replace my '66 Connie. Love the Connie, but the non-quickset date is a PITA for a dress watch.

The Connie will have to go on the blocks:

Oh I don't know, the semi quickset 562 is still a hell of a lot more convenient than a Rolex 1575, and very similar to a 1803 Day-Date date change and to Nomos date movements...I don't mind it much. That's a great look Connie, and will make someone very happy.

This nice little CK 730.17 with 'Carré' dial has just arrived. T17 Inside, around 1935 :

Very interesting dial! I had never heard of the Carré dial before.

I wasn't going to post this 1937/8 Vacheron I found a year or so ago.

Principally because it is a really depressing downer (which the moderators dont address) that almost every time anyone posts a beautiful dial on this forum in nice condition, there are always a flurry of Armitron/Casio wearers who feel the need to chime in: Inevitably by claiming not that that is beautiful, but that they are obsessed enough to claim everything is, in their supposedly professional opinion, obviously a redial.

For the record, though I dont own a company specialising in refinishing dials, no I dont think your Omega is a redial

Another Lemania heading for Norway.
1950ish with a cool dial handset combo. 😉
Hope the adjustment is not as far out as the movement shot indicates. 😲

Hi,

The CK 730 was produced with two dial variations (at least) here differentiated in the 1938 catalog :

And here are the two versions side by side :

I had been considering this for a while, but I am really down on paying full retail, when you know you just drop at least 20-30% as you walk out the door. I emailed Kringkily, to see whether he had one, confidently knowing that it would take some time. Within 2 days he had sourced a 6mth old watch with B&P in near perfect condition. And about 2/3rds of the Australian retail. And what a great transaction. Excellent gentleman to deal with. I think pretty much everything works in relation to this watch. (Yes I have heard the PCL discussion, but I dont see that as any sort of problem.

It is not completely without problems. I have no room left in the watch boxes for this one to go in. Something will miss out on wrist time.

This one came in and I have to say, I'm liking it quite a bit. But alas it is a gift for the GFs father, he has noticed my vintage watches and showed some interest. So I figured I'd get him an entry level to see if it stirs the beast ::stirthepot::

I was just on vacation and got a little bored and obsessed and went slightly crazy and bought two other panda, chronos. I'm concerned for my financial wellbeing at this point. While waiting for those, the lovely Speedmaster 145.022-69 from @robocaspar arrived this morning, fresh from a full service he had done before he shipped it. Great communication and a lovely watch. Thanks Chen!

Just last week, picked up the same reference at a watch fair. Unfortunately a non runner at the moment,
But it cost me almost nothing. I'm hopeful a service is all it needs.

I recently added this Soccer Timer. Been wanting one a while, and it took some serious patience to wait around for the combination I wanted (grey dial / regatta bezel ). 🥰
It also came on the original bracelet but I removed that for some cleaning - 45 years of crusty cheese on that. 🤮
