Mmm, seems like you too were asking a question that I don't see a reply to. 馃槖
Have to check with our legal department, the honorable Dewey, Cheetum and Howe.

Oh man are you pulling rank on me too????? 馃檨
I love Car Talk, can I have this one?

Ok boys, @cicindela @Rman @dougiedude @Jwit

I don麓t want the OF boat rocked here so I麓d better set the record straight regarding Dibs! following order...

Official Honest World OF Standings:

1. Rman

2. Dougiedude ( Bad news: Sorry Doug, I misinformed you yesterday, after reanalysing the data I see that Rman pipped you to the post ) (Good news: 2 extra bonus points for previous dealings)

3. Jwit

4 .Cicindela ( Good news: 2 extra bonus points for amusing photoshop content and an automatic extra 3 points for being a power wielding Moderator)

Real World OF Standings :

1. Cicindella
2. Dougiedude
3. Rman
4. Jwit

Disclaimer: These standings are correct at the time of being typed, attractive watches sold to me on the cheap by the above members can and will influence Real OF World Standings in the short, medium and long term.

Didn't have a camera along so no picture but I just did a deal on a nice Russell of Liverpool pocket watch. Sweet little keywind, silver cased thing I couldn't resist. Its even got its original key with Russell's Liverpool street address on it.

Ran the hall marks when I got home.... it was made in 1832.

Its with my watchmaker now being serviced. pictures as soon as it arrives!

168.046 received yesterday and I've worn it almost a day. It seems to be losing about 5 seconds a day so it's running pretty well. Not the favorite collectible for the forum but I really like it, dial spots and all. It can use a bit of polish on the Hesalite which I'll get to next week. Any inputs on the 1001 movement regarding failure rate percentages. I've read much on the 1001 especially Desmond's article that says only buy if you can maintain it yourself. For $400 delivered from Japan it seemed like a decent deal.

These dibs are all hypothetical anyway.

You would be out of your mind to ever part with that watch.

You can wade through tons of junk at second hand / thrift stores before you find a gem like that.

Just bought this beauty.
I got an amazing deal. Very happy with my new purchase.
I just ordered the brown calf strap and the deployment buckle directly from omega.

Beautiful watch. Also, it's deployant, not deployment. Common mistake, apparently it drives Ben Clymer of HODINKEE crazy.

This might be a bit out of line as it wasn't bought today but last weekend ... still, it might give you all a laugh. Bought at auction as part of a two watch lot, I paid 拢45 for these. It objected to being opened but gave in at the end and is sitting here waiting to be re-assembled. Sold as parts, it just needed a balance wheel and, while I am the first to admit Mickey Mouse would question their quality, I do love the look of these divers:

(The dial looks blurred in the photo but it's actually mint).

OK, I could not help myself. It was jumping up and down, wagging its bracelet and begging me to take it home. 馃 I have been looking at it in the same display counter for over 3 years!! I finally gave in and picked up this 145.022-69 last Friday.
Formerly one owner, then waiting for adoption.
