Picked up this Geneve from ebay for a very low price, sold as not running (sellers pick below) After opening it today realised someone had a very poor attempt to fix something with the stem and presumably damaged the crystal and hands in the process. Very glad to see a beautiful sparkle dial and the 565 movement in very clean condition. So after I service the movement, replace the crystal, damaged hands, stem and crown, I should have a very usable watch
you do know you're not supposed to post pictures of vintage Alpina don't you? how the freak are they s'posed to remain a secret if you go flaunting them around the interwebs...
Auricoste arrived today and performing perfectly, just have to figure out what the outer markings are all about
Wittnauer with breguet numerals for the missus, quite surprise how a small watch takes 18mm straps, the croc fits perfectly!
Twenty dollar Doxa, with painted numerals and unusual font to boot. Sent from my CP8676_I03 using Tapatalk

Hey, that movement looks familiar. Mine is in a Lemania. Nice catch. Also, I believe that the "M" below indicates that the watch originally went to France.
Very cool. Can't wait to hear about the scale. On a quick and semi-sleepy glance, it appears that the intervals between each of the outermost numbers increases in a growing proportion, almost in some sort of log scale. Please do let us know what you find out about it!
