Bought a little while back, finally landed. A late 1940s Lemania cal S27 in a very nice condition, apart from the crystal. The cal S27 is the predecessor to the later cal 3000 series, and was also used as base caliber for the CH27 aka Omega 320/321 according to Ranfft. It should clean up well. Question: Do you guys agree that the case ref says 132? (The fake Patek strap came with the watch......)
This was my dream car as a teenager at school. That shark nose, just wow! I remember seeing a gorgeous red one with cream interior around this time in my village. Incredibly it also had the personalised registration plate BMW 635, I couldn't believe it, just absolutely perfect, a schoolboys dream
Ok, not that exciting, but I wanted one of the red Omega zipper cases for transporting my Speedmaster when traveling. It's currently at the spa, but figured I would have it when it got back. Found an ebay seller with a few of them available for $18 shipped, which is pretty much the lowest price I've ever seen. There are a few more that the seller has, if anyone else wants one. I know that they have a "stigma" in that a sign of them in a sale might mean that Omega has been rubbing their giant vintage killing mitts all over a particular piece, but it's a cheap decent travel case which is what I wanted. http://www.ebay.com/itm/112061712935?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Just a little vintage snack as I was feeling peckish. Not my usual standard for condition but I've been getting sniped pretty badly recently... A project watch, non working, fairly small (31mm) and not too clean but I like these little "military" post war pieces. A quatro tacche Glycine 72 movement (I think, I can't chase this down in Mr. Ranfft's archive - maybe somebody can enlighten me) What also puzzles me is the case is numbered 1885 And the caseback is numbered 1147; the scoring in the back looks like it was from an automatic rotor - could that be? EDIT: Ah! I think it's marks from the movement holder tabs. Any info from a Glycine collector or the like would be greatly appreciated.
Yesterday was a great day for me, got this from the son of the first owner. 1964 twin jet Navitimer. There is a chance I will get the box and the papers later.
This one was waiting in my mailbox today. Alpina cal 592 from the 50s. Dial is going slightly tropical. The rest is also much nicer than the seller managed to capture on camera.
