Nivoc rebadged EP 4-68. Bought it to strip for parts, but it looks and works too good in person ::facepalm1::

A very beautiful book. I didn't have more than 15 minutes to skim it. Very nice pictures and great story telling.

Added another flown reference to the stable.

Is it a 6139-6005 ?

A large (about 7"), vintage ceramic ashtray to use for coins and keys, made by the fine old French firm, Gien.

Tre tacche. That's all that I have to say.

Oh, and it's a chronograph, but you'll have to make due with that.

It does also feature a fine, double-branded black dial, and three registers, but you're not getting another word out of me.

Incidentally, it's not a Longines, and I'm putting my foot down now, so that's really it.

Technically a partial trade. My lips are now sealed, or, more precisely, my fingers are taped together.

No photos, as I am in Zurich, and have no camera (I used my tongue to type). 馃榿
An Hermes branded Tavannes?

Nope, but you deserve one hint for trying. The movement is a modified Valjoux 71.

Surely not Birks co-branding?

No, you'll never guess that one. A small Swiss retailer, and examples are rare from what I have been able to ascertain. The watch likely spent its whole life in Zurich before I absconded with it. 馃槈

Seiko 6139 Pogue from March 1977 in pretty much original condition albeit the bracelet has been polished
Had a run of Seiko chronographs recently which have spiked my interest and are reasonable money but have a Leonidas 1950s SS Chrono on its way to me to break things up

Arrived this morning - Very pleased

This Mark III has some known, & acknowledged problems - A bloody good service required, being one of them !

One issue, I have never encountered before is that, as one winds the crown to charge the movement, the date numerals, also spin synchronously, in tandem ?

Suggestions to cause please ? - wrong / broken stem ?

Case is in very good condition & original bracelet, chrono rests but not quite exactly - it will clean up nicely with TLC
