If you loose interest you can always melt it down and make a bronze lawn sculpture 馃槜

Or not. I prefer yard gnomes.

You a polish or patina guy?

Time will tell. It's my first bronze. I'll see how it develops and if it affects the bezel. I've read some cases where the patina locks the bezel from turning and that would drive me nuts. I use my bezels for timing meat on the grill all the time.

Tre tacche. That's all that I have to say.

Oh, and it's a chronograph, but you'll have to make due with that.

It does also feature a fine, double-branded black dial, and three registers, but you're not getting another word out of me.

Incidentally, it's not a Longines, and I'm putting my foot down now, so that's really it.

Technically a partial trade. My lips are now sealed, or, more precisely, my fingers are taped together.

No photos, as I am in Zurich, and have no camera (I used my tongue to type). 馃榿

Arrived yesterday, a bespoke strap for a military pilot watch.
Alas it looks like the long wrapping end might be have to be cut short. 馃檨
A pity as those seams are so beautifully done.... We'll see.

Now, THAT, is a complicated looking strap. I can't wait to see that in practice...

I've been wanting a bronze watch for several years, but never quite found the one to pull the trigger on. This year, the Black Bay Bronze and Oris LE Carl Brashear Diver were released around Basel and piqued my interest further. The Oris is gorgeous with the blue dial but uses as SW200 movement and they want $2k for it. The Tudor has the new in-house movement but I'm not a huge fan of the dial/bezel color contrast (or lack there of) with the bronze case.

I owned a 45mm Ti Helson Shark Diver before and it's one of the few watches I flipped that I regretted selling. They are well built, have a unique look and the lume is amazing. I kept seeing a black dial 42mm bronze FS on another forum and found myself going back to look at it almost daily. I showed it to my wife last week and expected the "you don't need another watch" comment, but instead got the "Wow, that's nice and different than your other watches. I like the bronze. You should buy it."

A few PMs back and forth with the seller and we struck a deal. Today, the tracking number pinged my phone with a text message and I went to the office mailbox to collect it.

you will love the patina once it develops & the bezel will still turn w/ the patina.
I have a Benarus BronzeMo that is full on patina & the more it gets the more I love it.

Picked up from eBay, listed as "Tudor watch" with an equally sparse description.

It was fitted with a generic jubilee bracelet that's gone in the bin.

For those that haven't spent 6 months trying to understand Tudor Oyster names, and numbers, this is a 1966, ref 7996, Tudor Prince Oysterdate 34mm.

After a gentle wiping over, a splash of PolyWatch, and a Eulit Panama (temporary), I think it's looking pretty good.

1940's Heuer, Valjoux 22. The original (?) GF Bonklip "bamboo" bracelet is very comfortable.

Really sweet example - so many of these have trashed cases. @tinger now has its angelic counterpart
