Another Universal Geneve Polerouter Electric. Sold mine some time back, and have had some regrets about it since... Perhaps one of the rarest Polerouter models out there? Sellers pictures does not do it justice!
Saw it late yesterday evening, it haunted my dreams all night, first thing this morning was to pull the trigger (seller's photos)
I was not "desperate", so the price I paid was not too far from my (relatively low) max bid. That's normally the best ones.....
Congrats - lovely pick up. Also, an inspiring example of how a little knowledge (a lot in your case) can help us see beyond poor seller pics and result in a good price. I'm wearing mine today, we say hello to our electric sibling:
Check this out.....http://uncrate.com/stuff/martinator-watch-cases/ Martin Lim is his name....goes by the Martinator, superior product.
A shiny companion piece for the Vulcain "Newman" (below). 37mm of cheap Valjoux-7733 fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've lost count of how many of these I've looked at. I never wanted to pay for a bracelet because I'd never wear it on a bracelet. Today, all the planets lined up and I finally pulled the trigger. It'll show up in my office sometime next week. 36mm of tritium joy
Somehow ended up with this from a local enthusiast: https://omegaforums.net/threads/new-life-for-an-old-glowing-sturmanskie.40548/ He assured me the 'family' was OK with it, but I told him he will always have claim to "First Dibs" ..
Picked this up today. Waltham size 37, Model 1910 Car clock. It is the size of large pocket watch. 8 Day power reserve, blued hands, wind indicator and awesome thick glass.
I've been wanting a bronze watch for several years, but never quite found the one to pull the trigger on. This year, the Black Bay Bronze and Oris LE Carl Brashear Diver were released around Basel and piqued my interest further. The Oris is gorgeous with the blue dial but uses as SW200 movement and they want $2k for it. The Tudor has the new in-house movement but I'm not a huge fan of the dial/bezel color contrast (or lack there of) with the bronze case. I owned a 45mm Ti Helson Shark Diver before and it's one of the few watches I flipped that I regretted selling. They are well built, have a unique look and the lume is amazing. I kept seeing a black dial 42mm bronze FS on another forum and found myself going back to look at it almost daily. I showed it to my wife last week and expected the "you don't need another watch" comment, but instead got the "Wow, that's nice and different than your other watches. I like the bronze. You should buy it." A few PMs back and forth with the seller and we struck a deal. Today, the tracking number pinged my phone with a text message and I went to the office mailbox to collect it.
Nice bringing one back into the fold that you regret letting get away. That bronze case is awesome and the lume is flat out blinding!!
