two watches, a Waltham and an Elgin, both keywind pieces from the mid 1880s.... for parts, I need a case for my 1874 Illinois and I thought one of these would do nicely. Problem is, I get the junk home and find the Waltham runs nicely! Only 14,400 hertz mind you, but that was hauling in those days! So I guess the Elgin's case is the one that gets used. So what to do with the damn Waltham!
Alcohol + eBay last night, pulled the trigger on this TDM (seller's pics): Not much info out there about this manufacture but the dial and movement look clean and the asking price didn't break the bank. Looking forward to its arrival!
