    two watches, a Waltham and an Elgin, both keywind pieces from the mid 1880s.... for parts, I need a case for my 1874 Illinois and I thought one of these would do nicely.

    Problem is, I get the junk home and find the Waltham runs nicely! Only 14,400 hertz mind you, but that was hauling in those days!

    So I guess the Elgin's case is the one that gets used.

    So what to do with the damn Waltham!

    Not much info out there about this manufacture but the dial and movement look clean and the asking price didn't break the bank. Looking forward to its arrival!:)
