Added to my cache of Heuers. Hard to do much better than 60's Heuer chronographs, IMO.

Nice F2F transaction today for this lovely FOIS. Always good to meet and chat with another watch addict!

Glycine Airman, clean and tidy from 1965 ish. 24hr dial and two time zones comes in handy.

Nobody wanted to play but the 17.3mm lugs arrived today 😀
Still downsizing but decided I wanted one military watch, perhaps nostalgia as I started this obsession way back with military pw's and then on to everything else before a total change of direction that cleared them all.

Did not want to push my luck with Lady "A" and spend a fortune plus I decided it was to be a mechanical British piece and the Smiths W10 fits the bill perfectly. 35mm case diameter and these ******* narrow lugs. 1968 issue puts it near the end of Smiths manufacturing in the early seventies.
One of many UK industries that have unfortunately disappeared and we can only hope that our steel industry is not about to go the same way 😡

I think you know the answer to that last question, it did in 1992. Ravenscraig.

Remember Ravenscraig very well, a great customer for many years. Would like to think the U.K. as a whole could hold on to what is left.

Thought I'd already played since that movement was not like any others. But I think you just couldn't have waited to post more pictures of your prize. 👍👍😁

Technically purchased last week, but arrived today. Loving it so far. Need a new strap though.

Didn't think anyone would want more pictures of this 😀 It's a Boctok Komandirskie Tank and my guess is that it's from the late 80's.. I don't know much really. Manual wound c.2414 which tells me nothing actually. Like all these Russian watches you don't get the most precise timekeeper but you'll get one that usually works.. It's a screw down crown and if you screw it out you might end up in winding mode or time adjustment or both at the same time. The crown wobbles a lot and for me that's something quite typical for russian quality.

I'm not really into Seikos and generally despise quartz watches but this one really caught my eye for an affordable everyday beater 😁 Arrived today, wears a bit large on my wrist but I do enjoy it.

A selection of hand made leather "Easter sale" straps from member @jankoxx arrived today. I already have the shell cordovan on my Speedy (love it - yay!) and two 18mm straps are earmarked for two other watches.
