Interesting! This is the second time I've seen Turler/ Omega combination. A colleague of mine has a Cosmic with Turler brand on the dial as well!

Inspired by dougiedude's "weapons" shopping thread of last week I've just snagged this Wittnauer Professional Chrono-Date.
Never really liked these style cases before but for some reason this one really appeals to me.

Now for some 'casual' strap shopping. Do I pick up the blue or highlight the red? Dougie has gone light coloured on his and I think it let's the watch do all the talking.

Been a while since my last "new" Longines - these 2 just in. 19AS All Guard and a 6651 UC Chronometre.

Thanks again @Modest_Proposal for the heads up on the UC!

Another cheap eBay diver, seller couldn't spell Caravelle so I was the only bidder, $23 shipped. Crystal is a bit scratched but should clean up ok, band is in good condition.

Today I picked up a copy of A Journey Through Time.
Last week I bought a nice geneve automatic from Tom Dick and the week before a couple of watch rolls from curiosity supply. The bad news is that I won t be home until August to enjoy any of these goodies. On the plus side, I can tell my wife I have had them for ever and she has just forgoten about them 😗

Haha, It feels like it sometimes. I am from the Uk but work in Kuwait. I wouldn t trust the post service here, even letters take forever to get here so god only knows how long a parcel would take. In August I am moving to Malawi, so,it will probably be even less frequent visits to the UK.

Gave a gift to my wife: a 1944 Omega lady's "cocktail" watch! The current trend of large watches does not fit well on her wrist. I added a few of the seller's pictures. Not easy to find information on ladies watches. The movement appears to be an Omega 242. The 14k Art-Deco case was made by Lutringer & Kammerer (L&K) in NYC. This thing is tiny: 15 mm wide and 30 mm lug-to-lug!

Her other watch is a contemporary Longines, also with a smallish 25 mm case and L595/592 movement (ETA 2000-1).

Just received today
Constellation 168.005 from +/- 1966, serial # 24.4M, Cal 561
If I see correctly through the magnifier, it has onyx insert

Only one concern, the top left lug is slightly skewed to the outside that is probably an easy fix for a watchmaker. As I'm a service engineer, I could try to fix it but our moto within my team is "if force can't solve the issue, use more force", that could lead in watchmaking to a loss of 25% of the total number of lug.

So this arrived in the mail yesterday. Today is the first full day on the wrist. I was mildly excited at purchase time. After a full day, the excitement is much higher. The dial is so easy to read.

The collection is up to 3 now. An Orient Mako USA, a 1966 Constellation 168.010 (from OF member) and now this one. It's the first "modern" swiss piece and first display back.

Good thing the strap is too big, otherwise my wife says she would steal it. I guess that is a good thing that she likes it.
