I'm an Iowan (Live in KC now), SO I can really appreciate those purchases. Would love to go see the USS Iowa since a bunch of buddies did for the Rose Bowl.
Mad dog would like this.

I've never seen a dress Minerva pocket watch like this and I might never again.

Of note is the engraving on the bow.

Here's a 1988 Speedmaster with the elusive (and extremely comfortable) 1450 bracelet, from Japan. Patina on the markers is quite amazing, in my opinion. While trying to remove a link to size the bracelet, I found that the removable pins were so corroded that the fixed pins would bend before the removable pins would come out. So I soaked the bracelet in a 50/50 solution of acetone/ATF for a couple of days, and all the removable pins freed up. I replaced them with stainless pins (16mm shaved down to 15.5mm, .9mm diameter) just to be safe. I adjusted the timing on the Ace, and after a week on the wrist it's 2 seconds fast (total, not per day). I'm happy.

Taking the liberty of speaking for the newcomers, please show us a wrist shot. 😉

Thanks to @LouS for both pointing this one out and then, upon seeing the maniacal glint in my eye and the froth around my mouth, backing slowly away. I owe him one - it's a peach of a Bivouac. My old bezel-less one with grotty hands immediately becomes a parts watch.

Oy, this ref. 4870, cal. P1019/1 is going to be a project, due to some serious internal injuries. But it's 36mm of V&C goodness, with stars and crosses and such, so the MMMD Vacheron Rescue League will find a way.
