I bid on that one too. But lacked proper motivation. You got it at a good price IMO, Congrats to that! Given the crisp back, I was pretty sure the dial was flawless too.
So yes, buying more than dinner Here's a nice catch that's been consummated....can't wait to get this one
The UG squirrel works hard these days...... UG281 35mm Uni Compax. A rather unusual dial design (lumed markers). I am no expert on these, but have hopes they are correct?! Lacking the crown, a few scratches to the crystal and movement in need of some TLC. Should clean up well I suspect!
Not today but last week as I got distracted by my Breitling landing and turkey. This one will also receive a its own post in vintage as she's quite a rare find. The original Glycine Airman from 1954. Next to the modern re-edition
Thanks! I had the chance to inspect it in person before bidding so I could have gone higher if you would have had more motivation ☺
Been looking for a decent second hand donor watch to make one of these: Noticed today that Jomashop has Tintin Speedys at less that $3k new. Figured I was going to butcher it anyway so what good is a warranty going to be and pulled the trigger on this:
Not bought today, but arrived this morning. Universal Polerouter Geneve. Cal 69 microrotor automatic. Pity about the small crack in the crystal as I have understood that the trapezoid date window crystals are currently as seldom seen as Dodo birds. Otherwise it appears clean and unmolested.
