I have a similar (same case), but cal 5100. Maybe you, as being the Forum麓s undisputed Lemania-expert 馃榾, can explain the difference(s)?

5012 lacks 24h register and is running on 21600 instead of 28800. Your 5100 based version has a twin brother in the Sinn 190.

The 5012 and 5100 are identical in size, so they can be freely shifted around.
You can also find 5100 movements where the 24h hand is not used. They look like a 5012, but beats at 28800.
Then there is hand wound versions of the same movments......

This is another dial version of "my" new acquisition: 946386d1413121533t-zeigt-doch-mal-eure-vintage-chronographen-marchairuz.jpg

Bought weeks apart, arrived as a double feature... They weigh about the same, but the puppy is softer.

I appreciate the confidence but some one finally asked a question that i sort of knew the answer to. haha. More of a student than a sensei, but a Lemania enthusiast nonetheless.馃憤

Best,

Gorgeous Pupp! You sure he's not marked Zenith on his bottom?. The watch has the same beat rate as Lemania 5100 (28,800). Congrats on both. 馃憤

The only things I put on my feet these days. I've got a few pairs I rotate and they're solid as. Bastards recently jacked the prices up though 馃檨

Not two whole weeks ago I started a thread about a certain Zenith A385 being overpriced and of average condition. Now I'm here to feast on some crow. Yes, I bought it. 馃う

@Darlinboy 's comments about the quality of the dial made me reconsider this watch. It does have nicer hands and dial than most A385s on the market, and the case is certainly less damaged by polish than many others. When comparing about a dozen currently on offer it became evident when factoring in case, dial, hands, price and dealer reputation that this one was clearly the best available as a total package. Plus the bracelet is probably worth enough on its own that I could maybe sell it and the price of the watch would be pushed back into the $4000's, which wouldn't have seen so pricey to me relative to the others on th market w/o bracelet. See how easy justification is?馃槜
The lesson here is I'm totally weak and can talk myself into anything. :whipped: I remind myself of one of those poems by Martin F. Tupper, who was kind of a 19th century British version of Confucius or Jack Handey.

...For the being that is master of himself, bendeth events to his will, But a slave to selfish passions is the wavering creature of circumstance.

I am a wavering creature of circumstance if there ever was one. Anyway, I regret nothing! I love this watch and while the case isn't museum quality this will make for an awesome wearable example. And I like the bracelet way more than I ever expected to. Some crummy pics:
