I'm certainly no Breitling expert but that dial looks legit. Venus made top notch chrono movements. The seller of the 188 purchases estates in the Los Angeles area which is certainly good hunting ground for vintage, especially 50's and 60's stuff. I was surprised that watch sold for less than 400 and practically shocked it sold for under 300. I know it's a no-name dept. store watch but the dial and movement are literally perfect. The day I figure out watch collecting is the same day I'll figure out organic chemistry.
This is gorgeous Even the most radical and fervent gold sport watch haterzzzz must agree that this is an apex watch design .
What do you think is going on here? Is the seller just selling rubber watch straps or is it something more incidious? Ethical question? Does the moron who thinks he can get PO for 90 bucks deserve to be departed of his money? You know, the old saw about a fool and money...
This 1910's Omega officer's/trench, in pretty darn good shape! And the advertisement from 1906, courtesy of Adam Harris, NAWCC guru of first watches for the wrist:

Not sure. Description was bare bones. I do hope it is a woman's watch, as I bought this for my wife. If I can get it cleaned up and sorted out properly, it will be her Christmas present.
