Nice early chronograph !!!
Ulysse Nardin is an interesting manufacturer....... If it is a kosher item, you score big IMO

Oooh, vintage Ulysses Nardin can be a different zone indeed.

Being a birth year piece, resistance was futile.

Absolutely correct! You were mandated to buy it.

From Eterna? Not at all essential....

Agreed. It's their automatics that are the must haves. They are the grandaddy of ETA after all.

I smell an Eterna forum coming on....

If we could only figure the brand out like we have with Omega.

This landed on my doorstep with a resounding thud from Switzerland, yesterday.
Fantastic read, some questionable translations notwithstanding.

Thanks LouS and Ulackfocus for the rec. way back when.

Now, if I can just find a place to put it--wayy too big for any of the bookshelves.

I'm probably the only one on this forum to collect Illinois. Oh well.

This is the Trophy model. Arriving tomorrow after a COA.

You need to buy another one so you don't have to take this one out of the box! That'd be a shame, no? Oh, I noticed the last pic...just out for a short stroll under your light box.

Hi you're right, the box is so beautiful that is is a pain to take the Watch out. However I found a solution (we, French people, tend to be amongst the most imaginative and problem solving individuals in the world, did you know that?) :

Strange enough I have the impression that this version of the speed is not as comfortable and legible as the moonwatch..... 😕

No polish. Just buff crystal, remove gunk and get it serviced
and grease the bearings ha.

Send an email to: mugnier at watchprint dot com. Book and shipping to NYC came to CHF 111, for which he sent me a paypal invoice.

There is also jeff at formby-clocks.co dot uk... 108 GBP shipped to NYC.

It is a massive tome. You'll likely not be disappointed.

Lovely Lemania, fantastic Favre-Leuba and then this 🤦

A couple of pocket money pieces, they are certainly different and I do enjoy a challenge so we shall see how they turn out after some spit and polish. Both running well.

Have some info on the "La Mignonne", nada on "Simmons" so any help appreciated.

La Mignonne Suisse, 925 silver and obviously a converted fob watch (37mm) Key wind and set.

The Simmons Watch Company (32 x 7mm)
