Congrats! Can't wait to see it.

Soon.[emoji844]
What, you mean this one?

Not perfect. There are a couple of small lume bits missing from the minute hand and the constant second hand is a later (thin) replacement and it needs a new crystal. I will wear it tomorrow and on Monday it will be making a trip to my El Primero maestro, together with the Rainbow, the A385 and the A277. He'll be able to have a good holiday this year but hopefully not until he has serviced my watches.

Boom!

Big congrats!

Give me one I can put on the arm, not lock in the safe, any day. 😁

I just couldn't resist leafing through an email of new arrivals at a wine consigner that I frequent, and saw a nice deal (as in $40 under market per bottle!) on 1995 Bertrand Ambroise Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru, so I bought all 3 bottles they offered. Lucky I was right on it, because the Burghounds would have jumped all over it in a few more minutes. It only takes 10 minutes for the good deals to disappear when those emails come out. 😲 😵‍💫

Paid $85 each bottle, and here's the going rate on wine-searcher, including the now out of stock listing for Hart Davis Hart I just scarfed up:

http://www.wine-searcher.com/find/m...le+rognet+cote+de+beaune+burgundy+france/1995

I'll be tracking that auction on WineBid.com also, but seeing that the minimum bid is $100 per bottle it wouldn't be the sweet deal that was just scored.

No other good reason to go into the office after being away other than to pick up some treats that arrived whilst away.

Bracelet and those elusive #6's

Some much needed extra storage space.

and how it should look😀

Couldn't resist another beautiful 'no-date' Longines that is now on it's way from Bulgaria!

...also, I didn't have a cal 280. Sooo many reasons.

Quality is not fantastic on this one but suits the purpose, they have more expensive and better quality.

Might suit my needs. I just need something for home that will fit into the safe... Thanks for the info!

Remodelling the garden and after two days of visiting nurseries etc I am beginning to think watch collecting is not so expensive after all 🙁

The pictures in the ad was so bad I had the seller send me more. They were almost as bad but showed me that it appeared to be unmolested and with clean and nicely aged dial and hands with funky blue colors still intact.
It will be a few weeks before I can have it in hands but I hope it will look close to the one below. Valjoux 72 powered Fortis Marinemaster ref 8001.
Picture from Heuerville. (Not my watch). Link to blogpost below.

Norway😀
OH, man! :whipped:
How could I mess that one up? Of course it's Norway👍... so very sorry,🤨 Anders!

Corrected! Now I have to come visit Norway, buy you your favorite beverage(s), borrow a Lotus, and go for a drive through the fjords!!

Edit: perhaps the beverages should be saved for AFTER the drive...😉
