My Seiko diver didn't slip by my wife...... after a long string of really nice Omegas and small military pieces she proclaimed it the ugliest thing she'd ever seen on my wrist!.

but then..... she wear quartz!

Wait. Seiko's are ugly?? 馃檨

Rose gold (10K) '40s ref. 4325 ("Metropolitan") manual wind dress watch, about 36mm. This version has a stainless steel case back, though the 18K YG versions most often had gold case backs AFAIK.

This is a very nice Rolex, Adam. One I was not familiar with until just now. What sort of strap do you prefer for it? Perhaps black lizard or something approximating that sort of texture?

I"m going to have to see, Rich. It takes an 18mm strap (unlike the Oysters). I do have a NOSish 19mm Rolex ridged leather strap that fits more like an 18mm, so we'll see. I should get the watch by next week. Here's a photo of my bombe with that other strap.

Ooooof, that's sharp looking. That color is fabulous with red/rose gold. I've run out of superlatives, sorry lol

From where I'm sitting it looks like you're cornering the market on vintage Rolex. Keep going!

Sure most of us have done it ? you spot something and your focus flies out the window.
This is my latest distraction, a 22mm x 40mm 18K gold case from 1940 with swing lugs, A "drivers watch" ?
Clean movement running well but as yet unknown maker.

Busy day, package just arrived for the good lady.
Suspect she will want the bracelet on it before the day is out.

I agree, just popped on the bracelet for her ladyship and of course I had to test it out and it wears very nicely.

A new mianspring for my model 992 Hamilton.... it is nice that you can buy a new part, off the shelf, for a watch made in 1908.
