My Seiko diver didn't slip by my wife...... after a long string of really nice Omegas and small military pieces she proclaimed it the ugliest thing she'd ever seen on my wrist!.
but then..... she wear quartz!
Rose gold (10K) '40s ref. 4325 ("Metropolitan") manual wind dress watch, about 36mm. This version has a stainless steel case back, though the 18K YG versions most often had gold case backs AFAIK.
Wait. Seiko's are ugly?? 馃檨
Finally got it! I Had to stop lying to myself, the classic Moonwatch just wasn't doing it for me like this 57' was.
I love this dial 馃榾 鈱氾笍
This is a very nice Rolex, Adam. One I was not familiar with until just now. What sort strap do you prefer for it? Perhaps black lizard or something approximating that sort of texture?
I"m going to have to see, Rich. It takes an 18mm strap (unlike the Oysters). I do have a NOSish 19mm Rolex ridged leather strap that fits more like an 18mm, so we'll see. I should get the watch by next week. Here's a photo of my bombe with that other strap.
