I picked up a transitional today.... Might have paid a bit more than I was willing to part with... but it looked so good... Walked home in a daze (and am still in a daze), but had the sense to grab a couple of beers on the way back...

Is this story really about a watch?

Cool watch though. 馃榾

Gorgeous Bike!!!! Electronic shifters or Ultegra?

Thanks!!! New Ultegra 11 speed.
Had a complete BG/Retul fitting which really dialled me in on the bike, but I had to flip the stem as you can see. Hope to get a bit more comfortable and flexible so I can put it back in negative position, but either way I'm thrilled with it.
NOOoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

You know what happens to a "proper timepiece" when you go down!
You can wear your iwatch or Seiko diver when riding.

Meh, watch will ruin my tan lines, lol. Seriously though, all I wear on my wrist is a RoadID.

A new beater for when I'm diving to incredible depths in the kitchen sink, working in the garage or doing other man stuff.

how come everybody that comes up with a new beater has come up with a Seiko......

I think we're all just closet Seiko nuts who use the "beater" thing as a excuse!

like this one..... another beater!

Taddy, the far right Speedy is a LE? What year, I love it's colors.

@Frunkinator

This is a 3570 that I retrofitted to look like a 35th Apollo XI LE.

It is also made the birth year of my youngest son and I will gift it to him in 15 or so years.

Wow. The Barking mad seal of approval for my Zenith Rainbow. I might have to crank it up and actually wear it. It is, along with my Breguet Transatlantic, my son's favorite watch.

I actually own 5 Zenith El Primero chronographs. I'll post some pics in the next few days.

A while back, my younger son was bothering me to buy a Rolex Daytona. Although I own a few, I personally think Rolexs are overrated. So I did so Daytona research and discovered that, not only did the Daytona use the Zenith movement for 13 years, Rolex actually slowed it down and removed the date function. Then I noticed that the Zenith movement Daytona were 5-10 times more expensive then the Zenith. I bought zero Daytona's, 5 Zeniths. My son wasn't amused. Of course now he likes, and wears, a Speedmaster 145.012-67.

Rose gold (10K) '40s ref. 4325 ("Metropolitan") manual wind dress watch, about 36mm. This version has a stainless steel case back, though the 18K YG versions most often had gold case backs AFAIK.

That's a quite decently large watch considering the thin bezel and the era it was made in, very nicely kept too as you can imagine if anyone had polished that bezel the fine engine turned detail would be gone.

My Seiko diver didn't slip by my wife...... after a long string of really nice Omegas and small military pieces she proclaimed it the ugliest thing she'd ever seen on my wrist!.

but then..... she wear quartz!

Congrats! Slip on that original DON, and it'll look even more spectacular馃グ...

But inquiring minds want to know: which part of the 'transitional' was on your wrist, and how did that feel 馃槻?
