Are you a Speedmaster or a Seamaster person?

I'm both! 😁
Speedy is my daily wearer now. SMP is only worn on holidays at the beach these days.
Is that the midsize Bond, @DoctorEvil? In which case, snap!

I love both, but the richness of the vintage Seamaster world does edge me in that direction. Nothing amazing in my little collection, but I love them all:

The design ethos of the Seamaster really calls to me. I’m currently in the process of building a Seamaster’s only collection. I sold my Speedy to focus on this, but will likely add a vintage Speedy at some point in the long journey.

Speedmaster. Sub is for getting wet.

+1

I love the Speedmaster because of its consistent and timeless design, and the same for the Sub.

The Seamaster lacks the consistency of these two — which some may like, but I prefer the classics.

I thought I was more of a Speedmaster person, but after owning an Aqua Terra, I knew I was a Seamaster guy. The Planet Ocean only confirmed it.

Seamaster Professional 300M person i am, just perfect watch for every occasion, especially previous generation due to its moderate size

Yes, the SMP is the midsize.
Great minds think alike 😁
Love your vintage one with the silver dial. Which reference is it?

Thanks! It’s a CK2735, I think. Cal 420 manual winder from around 1956. It looks gorgeous because it’s a redial… 😁

Love both, it's a bit like saying vintage or modern. Though I may have to move one on in the future and it will probably be the vintage seamaster that goes.

Why have to choose? If the Speedmaster and Seamaster had a child...

They are all good dogs Brent …. But if I had to chose it would be a Speedy for all the obvious reasons. Then again if I ever end up in the old folks home It will be my 2254.50.00… because I might still be able to read it, and it wont matter if it goes through a washing machine, or I leave it in the bath or I drop it down the loo (one elderly relative went through a few cheap quartz watches like that :0)

176.007 is my kind of best of both.....

I'd definitely say that I'm both a seamaster and speedmaster fan, but I'm a fan of the vintage seamasters ( 1950s-60s dress and those Seamaster 300s), and a fan of the modern speedmaster, great all around everyday piece!

Seamaster for me as I’m not a chronograph person (yet!). Do you learn to love the non taper bracelet of the modern SMP?
