all the brands are struggling Swatch Richemont et. al.

In Hong Kong an amazing place for watches, I am surprised to see that Swatch Blancpain closed both of their boutiques a while back.

Hong Kong for sure is a Rolex Rolex Rolex everywhere town, but it's nice to see Omega every once in a while and they tend to be sea masters and aqua terra

Especially on this point I strongly agree. It doesn't make any sense to me to have a GMT function on a watch with 600 M of water resistance. That is a seriously dedicated dive watch and the addition of a GMT function is nonsensical.

It would make more sense to work with the aquaterra, but that would compete with the world timer... even just keeping the planet ocean as the design, which is very classic Omega, but reducing the water resistance, would make a lot of sense.

Ooh I like the idea of moving it back under the AT line also. Maybe a redesign of the 231.10.44.52.04.001 with the bi-directional 24hr bezel but no chronograph function this time. That way it would be a distinctly different enough offering from the Worldtimer sub-line. 41mm case, no more than 14mm thick, 20mm lugs, hell, you could even reduce the WR to 100m to get it as thin as possible.

But yea, I believe in letting the PO just be what it is, a big, serious, no nonsense deep sea diver. Experimenting with complications like GMT should happen under another Seamaster sub-line.

It would not take much for Omega to be on top of their game again, like releasing a spot on redesign of the Seamaster Pro with thinner case, non-wave dial, no date option, etc..

You just described my ideal Omega: no date, non-wave dial Seamaster with a thin case—I’d love 40mm and under 11mm thick—and if they lose the He valve, even better.

I like this idea, even better if they put sword hands on it and lose the skeleton hands

It’s called Tresor.

It’s called Tresor.

Not exactly. The Tresor isn’t a Seamaster, it’s a De Ville, which is its own line in the modern Omega catalog, even if the Seamaster did start out as a collection of water-resistant dress watches. But more to the point, I mean a Seamaster diver that fits my description. (I should have been clearer.)
