i think the bracelet is absolutely worth the money. I have the stock bracelet with adjustable clasp and I won’t even use it since this bracelet is so much more comfortable. The clasp really does it for me as I love the style. The Uncle Seiko end links allow the bracelet to fit perfectly with no wiggle at all and is a superior fit compared to the Forstner. Uncle Seiko definitely is a good value bracelet for what you pay and if you don’t want to shell out the extra money it’s a solids comparable offering to the Anniversary bracelet.

First off... nice collection and pics!

Thanks for your reply and insight. Great to know that it’s comfortable as well. I have my professional on the stock with micro adjustable too. I find myself adjusting it pretty often so was worried I would miss it if I went to this bracelet.

I got quoted $970 CAD + tax from the Omega service centre here in Toronto for the bracelet. A lot of money for a bracelet. Perhaps I’ll first start with the US since I would need to get the end links anyways and then see if I’m happy with it or if I feel the need to upgrade. I think I will ultimately miss not having the Omega clasp though.

I wonder if the omega clasp from the flat link is available for purchase separately, and if it fit the US. If anyone knows this, pls chime in 😀

In regards to the Forstner, while I do like a lot of the features on the bracelet, to my eyes the end links look more suited to the non-twisted lug models such as the FOIS. Also now that you’ve confirmed the fit isn’t as good, I think that likely rules out that route for me.

The clasp can be purchased separately. There is a web page that goes over installation of this bracelet specifically and has the individual part numbers included. The ideal configuration would be the Uncle Seiko end links, this bracelet and clasp, and the Fortster elastic links by the clasp. With all 3 you build the perfect setup that will never be too tight, fit perfect to your case, and be aesthetically pleasing. It only took me a day of owning the Uncle Seiko to know I had to buy this bracelet.

Here is the part numbers:

020STZ011626 – Complete bracelet including folding clasp and end links, consisting of

  • 020STZ011628 – Folding Clasp
  • 020STZ011629 – Bracelet
  • 020STZ011630 – End links
And here is the link to the page speaking in detail about the bracelet:

https://www.oysterinfo.de/en/omega-flat-link-bracelet/

He opted to modify the stock end links to make them fit the case. Way too much work in my opinion just to have OEM, and to have solid versus hollow.

Agree with you that would be the ideal set up.

Your feeling after owning the US after a day is what I’m afraid I’d feel as well.

Thanks for providing the link and info!

I wonder if the Omega clasp is compatible with both the US and Forstner bracelet links. I have seen that some people have gotten vintage ones to work, but wondering about this new one specifically.

Based on the Railmaster LE I used to own, I would have to give that a hard no. Way too different.

I believe you are right that it is not compatible. This is Longbow’s pic from earlier in the thread that I marked up from the Omega clasp.

The blue circled part on the Omega version tapers down to 15mm versus the 16mm of the US and Forstner therefore they are too wide to fit the omega clasp. I suppose you could purchase the omega piece that attaches to the clasp.

In regards to the part circled in red, I’m not sure if this would actually come with the clasp if purchased individually. Likely not. The 2nd problem is that the hole in the US or Forstner would need to allow for the omega screw. Probably not happening on the US since it uses a pin. Would probably need to test fit to know for sure for the Forstner.

If you’re going to the expense of purchasing the Omega clasp then why not just get the whole bracelet? You’re probably close to half way there in terms of dollars I would think for the original clasp and an US bracelet and most likely no way of mating them up.

Interesting information's and thank you all for work done and sharing it here
As I'm looking for my 1861 to this bracelet and/or the new Speedy 3861 bracelet (which will take some time to see it on the AD's), I found this article which pretty much sums all in regarding the 020stz011626 Apollo 11 50 bracelet

Contemplating buying the new 3861 sapphire sandwich. Any idea if these bracelets will fit the new speedies without modifications? Are the new cases identical to the 50th anniversary?

I believe the new speedys do have the same style endlink indent. I'm basing this off the website pictures

Could someone who owns this bracelet measure the width of the middle link? The measurement indicated in red on this photo? I'm thinking about mating the clasp with another bracelet but won't bother if it's not the correct width.

I'm guessing it's 10mm or very close to that.

Thanks!

I get 10mm using a ruler. I fully believe Mr J's measurement (with a caliper)? is no doubt correct as well.

correct, mine physically measures that with calipers. Thats only 6 thousandths away from 10mm so the female link is probably 10mm exact and this link obviously can't measure exactly the same or it would bind.

Thank you all! This is close enough to make it work.

I'll post the results here when I'm done. I'm planning to mate the clasp with a 38mm Aqua Terra bracelet. Or, if the AT end links work with the Apollo 11 bracelet, using the entire bracelet with the AT end links.

I currently have a Forstner flat link clasp mated with the AT bracelet, and while that gets me the micro-adjustment I desire, I prefer a modern high-quality milled clasp for a daily wear watch.

My AT is a daily wear watch and I love it but I'm not a fan of bracelets with a butterfly clasp and I can't stand bracelets that have zero micro-adjustments.

are you able to source the clasp separately? I asked my dealer months ago and they said they'd look into it but never got back to me. They are usually pretty good at finding me parts. When I asked I also inquired about the links that attack to the clasp when the bracelet attaches. You would also need those and if you're coming off the link you marked in the pic then you'd need some removable links as well. At that point you might as well buy the entire bracelet just to swap a clasp over haha. Good luck

edit* I misunderstood what you wrote...... trying different endlinks on the 50th is probably gonna be the way to go. Forstner and uncle seiko make decent endlinks to try out.

I'm going to buy the entire bracelet. If I can use everything except the end links (using the end links that come with my AT) that would be ideal. Otherwise I will just use the clasp and the first links that attach to the clasp (which is what I've done with the Forstner clasp).

I don't see why you woulnd't be able to use the Forstner end links with this bracelet. Others have done so.

And who knows, it might fit if it's 20mm... fits my WatchCo Seamaster 300 astonishingly well!

If the Forstner links work then I'm golden. The Forstner links integrate with my Aqua Terra links nicely. There's just a 0.5mm step on each side of the links as the AT is 17mm and the Forstner is 16mm. I actually like the look with the Forstner clasp on my AT but I'd prefer not to have the vintage jangley sound on such a modern looking watch.
