You should be writing for Hodinkee. This is a great review of the next XXX GMT model 😁😁 Short, honest and low on the usual repetitive hyperbole 😀
What I also meant is that the non-GMT AT also have this quick set feature. Same for the other brands, say a Date Just?
I have a GMT, and I've used the functions for it perhaps twice. I love the watch, that's why I bought it, plain and simple. I have other watches with different features I take advantage of more, but I still loved the watch, that's why I bought it. There used to be a time that was all anyone on here needed to say to defend a purchase. But some of the responses in here right now.....bruh. 🙄😗😁

I could keep going on, it seems like there are many, many ways to use the function.
I'm wondering how people actually use the GMT as it pertains to setting it for a default and changing it while abroad.
Do you keep the GMT hand set to your local time zone with the bezel (assuming it rotates) at 12, and then jump the hours to local (assuming jumping hours) while abroad?
Do you keep the GMT set to GMT with the bezel set to your particular GMT offset, and then just rotate the bezel while abroad?

How do you all prefer to do it?
I travel between multiple time zones, and I often use my Explorer II with time set to local time where I am and I leave the GMT to my home time zone.
...
I like to set my watch during the flight, which means thinking carefully one time to set it right, and then I can quickly glance to check local time without giving it much thought.
I do t see a single response recommending or advising not to buy a GMT, in fact most of us are saying what you say here. Notable most responders have a GMT or two.
giving an honest opinion ( when asked) is not necessarily negative or undermining, but it doesn’t have to be agreeable either .
both my wife and I have sometimes worn a watch only to realize sometime along the day that we never set it to the right time. It’s sometimes an accessory rather than a time keeper because we are sitting at our computer stations and have wall clocks in the office.
does this mean we should not wear or buy a watch?

Guys
This is my first post and I’m going to throw this out here. I’m taking a new position and it requires travel into different time zones. So I thought it was a good excuse for another watch. But in talking to a few travelers they told me they never use their GMT function.
So what’s your experience? Do you use Gmt or not?
