Anyone see the Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light in the wild yet?

·This watch warrants at most a $1500 premium over a standard Aqua Terra. I actually like the way it looks, but wouldn't even consider it at $7k. I can't figure what market they are going for with this. It's overpriced by more than $40K.

·I personally love the look minus the band. Take that off and find a proper strap or titanium bracelet and I'd be a buyer if it weren't priced to the moon.

Omega pretty much made this for him to market so that makes sense, regardless of his income bracket. I'd happily wear this watch for its looks but for the money I would purchase something else. Something cool to look at with little to no practical value, like a tourbillon (seriously too).

·I am considering the Ultra Light. For context: I have a Speedmaster DSOTM Pitch Black and a Seamaster 300 ceramic/titanium. So I like ceramics and titanium as well light watches. Agree the Ultra Light has some RM comparisons, especially on the movement, but less on the looks. I have one on hold in blue, but want to see the red in comparison before deciding. Wonder if the red fits the overall look better, or if the blue is the better long term choice. Some pic attached. The box I was shown was for the green version, as you can see on the stitching. Green will not be my choice. Red or Blue - thoughts?

·I am biased to red in this case… and this piece is likely to sell in very low volumes as I believe this is more like a concept watch than something Omega was/is hoping to sell in the hundreds (let alone thousands) given the price point. That doesn’t mean that it will necessarily appreciate $$$-wise, but since I don’t have a crystal ball anyway, what do i know!?!
Bottom line: If you LOVE it AND can swing it, I say go for it!!!!

I think red accents are a better match for this watch

·Thanks all! I also wonder how timeless this timepiece is. For that price it would be a shame if in 5 or 10 years it looses its appeal. Agree that it will likely not appreciate in value, considering the starting price and fairly special design.
