Lightweight, unobtrusive and eye-catching, this ergonomic timepiece will complement your look – without cramping your style." Unobtrusive: not conspicuous or attracting attention Eye-catching: immediately apparent or noticeable; striking. And Round One goes to...
Hah perhaps they meant "unobstructive" But if you look at just the word "obtrusive",synonyms for that word include: busy, interfering, intruding... So UNobtrusive, would mean it is not any of those things, but still eye-catching. But still seems like an odd word choice.
Well, they are not saying inconspicuous but unobtrusive which could be targeted at the lightness and low profile helping the watch not “ be Obtrusive” during sport activities.
Aren't these usually originally in French and then translated? I always assumed so. eg. "Novelty" in French isn't the same in English.
The French site says: Léger, discret et séduisant, which I take to mean: Lightweight, discreet and seductive. The German site says: Leicht, dezent, aber unübersehbar, which means: Light, discreet but conspicuous, which is nonsense. I think the German should have been: Leicht, dezent und verführerisch. So the English version looks like a miss-translation from French into German into English. Boris (reporting back on the negotiations): “I thing the negotiations went rather well. Mr Macron rated my proposal A+ and Angela wished me a beautiful party evening! I think we’ve cracked it!”
