What if... we get a Speedy with a red dial? We have black, white, blue (sort of), green, grey (Japan racing 2004), silver, and not counting the gold ones. Seems this color is missing. And with the last teaser all in red... Let's see
Red dials are very hard to do, it's a very strong color. Omega has the Tokyo 2020 'Rising Sun', that's a good edition with enough red to keep it interesting. The sugary, silver dial is one of the best they have done, imo.

The Schumacher Legend Broad Arrow red dial Speedy was quite striking. I guess it could be a differently branded reboot of that. I can't recall another fully red dial Speedy in the Pro form factor, though I do seem to recall William (@Spacefruit ) had one specially made to mess with the entire Internet's head!

This is the one I mean:

Or I guess it could just be a Mars-Snoopy red dial tie up.

Rebornsoul is an Omega plant to drum up interest in the new release. He/she is teasing information to keep us talking about it.
Just looked at his posts. Thanks for point that out.

Given what he's hinting, we got the white dial most recently, so it could be a panda dial or reverse panda dial. That's fairly standard to do with other watches. Going with a major color like red or blue seems a bit off. Another option would be a change to an earlier case design, but that's already been done.

...and I'm not a plant.

A reverse panda would work. Panda doesn't unless there is some color elsewhere, I never saw the attraction of the Mitsukoshi dial for example.

A reverse panda? Like Speedy Tuesday 1? I doubt they would reproduce it. The community whiplash would be brutal 😀

I was thinking of a variation more like a Daytona, where the subdials are ringed in silver versus totally silver like ST1. Or maybe they will play around with dial finishes, like AP or PP does. I guess we'll all know in a week. Since the rumor is that it's not an LE, I'm assuming that it's going to be something relatively straightforward and nonpolarizing like the white dial.

LOL. I'm one of the Hong Kong dinner rejectees. Normally, I wouldn't try to go so far for an event, but I had a hunch the day they announced it that there would be a new Speedy release presented there.

Chill guys, no MO here. Just excited about the new release as you guys are. I'm not disclosing full details out of respect to the people I know and the brand I love. Let's wait patiently for the release day.

No accusation intended—just a bit of (amused) confusion. All good.

Whatever it is, I hope they’re using the newer sapphire crystal we saw on the FOIS

Meanwhile still waiting for this to be released.

I’m just gonna guess it’s something like this in steel.

So a ST1 with a polished case. That would be a very lazy release.

That would be what everybody's been dreaming about.

Sure, but to be fair, a simple new colorway for Moonwatch is bound to be perceived as lazy.

For instance, I wouldn't call the white dial release as lazy, it has a nice depth to it. So it is not only a color change from black to white. The same applies to the second FOIS, the soleil-inspired color is nice. But to copy+paste a dial from a LE and making it a standard production is what I call lazy, even if they omit the applied logo or radial font orientation.

My guess (since most of us are guessing...) is that it will be tintin adjacent but I don't recall what signals pointed me in that direction specifically. regardless, speculation is a fun exercise. I otherwise anxiously await and have a "call me" down with my OB.
