Hi all,

I’m looking at picking up a preowned Rolex Submariner Date 16610 as a full set with ‘V’ serial number and warranty card dated 2010.

It hasn’t had a Rolex service but an independent one.

Dealer wants £8k and has sent the below pics.

Appreciate any advice.

I think they’ve got you pretty well covered with replies over on TRF.

Nothing wrong with getting opinions from members of both forums imo. Wish the OP good luck with his decision to buy or not.

@lawler: I know you've already received a lot of feedback, so perhaps you could share your concerns. Otherwise, we are just repeating the same thing over and over again.

No concerns now...

Ive received the watch and I am very happy. Its looks unused and is in very good condition with no signs of overpolishing.

Thanks all!

Eh?

As has been stated, look at the Crown guards, they have been heavily polished

Thanks but I disagree.

The pictures angles aren't great but the crown guards in person are how they should be. It's been lighlty polished but nothing taken off the crown guards or lugs compared to unpolished models.

This is pretty much the going average price for such a watch. It looks like a fine piece. The logo on the clasp is very crisp and the bevel seems crisp and even, which means the watch hasn’t gone through a heavy polish.
