Any Pilots actually use a “Pilots Watch”

As a Pilot since 1989 I’ve yet to find a watch better for use in aviation than an Apple Watch. SettIng aside battery life it’s timers, stopwatches and flight calculating and conversion abilities are second to none I’ve seen... What then “aviators”
Are you wearing ?

Proxy vote for my son-in-law, who is a pilot for Frontier. He wears an Air King. Does that count? 📖 🤪

Mad Dog used a pilot-y type watch to learn how to build a watch. Does that count?

Building a watch is probably harder than flying a plane so I’ll take that

Most aircraft these days have clocks (chronometer, chronograph and T.A.T. built in) and calculators in the cockpit. Watch is just something nice on your wrist lol.

Most pilots I work with wear nothing or just cheap flashy big ass watches.

Those "cheap, flashy big ass watches" help people identify you as a pilot in the bars and hotel lounges. 😀

Thats great! But another thing is why do you want people to identify you are a pilot?

Good job they only fit cockpit voice recorders, not video recorders ....

..... thought twice about illustrating this after a Ninternet search on "naked pilot" (believe me, just don't).

🤔
I surely like the words these days... as the first aircraft I flew had some holes in the firewall, where instruments were missing, adding extra hot drafts into the cockpit... or added Airco if You like... watch of choice was not yet an Omega those days...

I used to collect 8 day clocks, got bored and sold them all.

One of my friends is a cargo pilot and he wears a Citizen Red Arrows LE, but I’ve never gotten around to asking him if it has any major purpose in the cockpit other than telling the time. I also haven’t got the heart to tell him that the Red Arrows pilots all wear Breitling Emergency IIs.

Don’t forget they need a watch to get them to the airport on time 👍
