FOR SALE a vintage USAF pilots watch from 1977, these were issued from 1967 to 1988 to similar specs as Benrus, with the Hamiltons generally considered the most collectible ones. This one has survived well with excellent original lume and paint, and runs and keeps good time. Many of these are sold in poor condition, this is one of the nicer ones I have seen. It is from 1977 so post Vietnam combat. Dial: Unsigned black dial with white arabic hours, with 24 hour inner indices. Hour lume markers triangular tritium yellow. Dial in good condition Hands: All original, excellent condition with thick applied original intact lume. Seconds sweep also lumed on arrow portion. Movement: 17 jewel manual wind ETA 2750 Hamilton cal 649 hacking, running well keeping good time. Service history unknown, winds and sets and hacks and keeps good time Case: Stainless steel with parkerized finish to reduce glare and increased durability. 33 mm diameter, 41mm lug to lug, lug width 18 mm. Fixed lugs military spec. For single pass/nato straps. Some wear from use no damage noted. Front opening which was more durable over time. Military markings engraved on back. Serial number: 276484, May 1977 Crown: Original unsigned Bracelet: Originally worn with single pass military canvas strap, I show it on several different nato straps including light brown (my favourite) , black and yellow, and gray options- choose 2 you like best if youre like me you cant decide. I think they were often originally worn on black not sure if I have any 18 mm black nato but if I do that can be option too. Crystal: Original plexi with some yellow age discoloration seen from the side, no significant scratches or cracks Accesories: No box or papers.
