Regarding your Christmas Wish list posting elsewhere.

Sometimes, the comments you make in response to the posts of other people cause others to also require a chill pill. Hard to maintain a sense of humour after a post like the one above! I think you need a course on sensitivity training more than you need chill pills! Forgive me for sayin'!

1. As I said, there were some protests that got out of hand and were more than a bit overblown by the press. The largest protest in the US was several thousand. There were also protests in my city that were very peaceable, with only one incident of a bottle being thrown from a window at one of the protesters. As you said, let's not over-react and make this out to be . While these were going on here, over 800,000 protested the ruling party policies in South Korea. Far more troubling for world peace if you ask me.

2. Trump should be a friend of the Jews. His daughter is raising his grandchildren in the faith. However, the open courting of anti-Jewish (we'll use your term here) white supremacist groups to his campaign, along with some of the rhetoric and actions of this particular individual over the years is quite troubling. My issues are not with him personally (which is why I didn't pick on the Clintons, Obama, or the biggest hater of 'em all, Jimmy Carter), but with the way the campaign was run and the radical elements that were blatantly pandered to. I'm willing to give Trump a chance, but this is not a good start. The grown-ups need to take over at some point.

3. I think Israel would have been OK either way. I agree that Netanyahu probably favored Trump, while the people of Israel favored Clinton. That's par for the course over there.

Let's get our own house in order first.
