Any No Time to Die Seamaster Owners?

Potential future owner here! Some say visibility is bad while others say is great, seems like the majority say is good. Tempted if can find one used on the bracelet for a reasonable price ! 😀

I sold mine after a year. The visibility is in my opinion really bad and annoying. As a tool or dive watch not useable. The lume is although to weak and don't last very long . If they had used no skeleton hands that would be a big improvement for the visibility. Best advice check it, before you buy one.

Had mine two years now. Found visibility a little annoying at first but that was just adjusting from one watch to another. Now doesn't bother me at all. Still love the watch, yes for its Bond association but also because it's light and thin, and I really like the colouring. Whilst some don't like the faux patina, I think it goes so well with the dial and bezel colouring. Certainly different from most of what you see out there day to day.

Enjoying a new lease of life today on a retro suede strap, and have got an Erika band on order too. Whilst I have the Bond Nato strap for it as well, I'm not a fan. Bracelet I also really enjoy.

The visibility problem comes from a couple separate areas.

It's not the skeleton hands so much as the fact they're brushed, in a dark matte color. So they don't reflect light as much.
Then, the special crystal that Omega put on this model is more domed (the standard 300M crystal is flatter) and decided not to coat the exterior in anti-reflective coating - only the inside.

Cool-looking watch, everything I want in a diver (Ti, no-date), but I traded mine away after just a week. Have never gotten rid of a watch so fast.

Now have a standard 300M black ceramic, and it is perfect even with the date. The ceramic dial is so damn cool.

I’ve had one since 2020. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as a first or only watch. This is something you get because it’s different. Personally, I think the 300 heritage is a better first or only dive watch. Even better on the mesh. For a first/ only / daily I think you need something standard.

That being said I love the NTTD and I’ve never had any problem reading it. Some of the photos on this thread showing reflections as a distraction would happen to any watch.

To be honest, it was and still is a kind of a love/hate relationship with this watch for me.

At first it took me a while to get used to the mesh bracelet. I switched from the regular to the shorter bracelet and then had to "break it in".

Unfortunately, I then discovered that the titanium case - at least in my opinion - was much more prone to scratches ... I know, I know, that's just part of life.

And last but not least, I would also confirm that the luminosity decreases more quickly than other watches.

Nevertheless, I haven't been able to sell it ... mostly due to its unique look.

Considered it, but went with the 300M Heritage instead. Absolutely no regrets. If you prefer skeleton hands to the broad arrow hands on the 300M, I still think that the third generation SMPc with the 2500D is the best version of the Seamaster diver. Beautiful, functional watch and it's a bargain on the second hand market.

Congrats on the OP’s purchase! I’ve been eyeballing the Bond Ti model as well. My AD has one in stock and I fondle it frequently (insert your dirty jokes here). I wore it in the store for 10-15 minutes and did notice the reflection issue under artificial lighting. Imagine in real lighting conditions it would be the same. Caused me to pause. NATO and rubber bands tend to make my wrist sweat in summer, so I stick with a Ti Bond bracelet on my 2231.80. I’m hard pressed to justify an upgrade from my current, almost 30 year owned tool watch, other than doubling of the service intervals, which would be nice. And the earth tone dial and bezel are a nice touch and well as the Bond movie connection…….Does anyone know what the arrow signifies at the 6’oclock position?

The arrow is a nod to James Bond MI6 affiliation….. meaning property of the British government.

However, mine is mine !!!! ::psy::
