Any No Time to Die Seamaster Owners?

I’ve been eyeballing it for a while now. Any owners here would like to share some experience? I like the design but have mixed feelings about the yellow lume and that damn arrow on the dial. Bracelet looks super cool but I’m afraid it may not fit a smaller wrist. Also how does the 42mm case wear on the wrist?

The watch wears very easily and I have a small wrist. It is so light - it is a pleasure to wear. Personally, however, I grew tired of the look. While there are a lot of threads that say it goes with anything - it really doesn't. The original bracelet didn't fit me well, and while I liked the color of the Nato, I do not like wearing Natos, so I was constantly looking for a strap. There is now apparently a new bracelet option that is smaller. I settled on this one from Toshi, but then eventually flipped the watch. I really don't miss it, but the lightness of the titanium and the lume - especially on the bezel - were outstanding.

Got tired of it so soon?

I've got a soft spot for titanium divers so I excitedly bought one and found that the new domed crystal only has an inner anti-reflective coating. Combined with the matte dial furniture it was impossible to actually see the dial or tell the time, in 98% of conditions. Visibility is important to me and I hated it, so I traded it in in under a week.

I'm much happier with the standard, steel, double-AR coated flat crystal model (black dial & bezel variant). Thing is awesome and the date is so well integrated I really don't mind it at all.

Under a week? It’s really that bad? I thought the huge indices would improve legibility.

I truly couldn't stand it. While the standard version's ceramic dial and polished hands/indices shine through any reflection on the dial, the NTTD was just completely washed out. I had such a viscerally negative reaction to not being able to see my new $9,000 watch that I just traded it for a Geophysic 1958 and never looked back (except, that I wanted a standard 300M 😉 )

Here, I found the photos I tried to take.

This was unfortunately the vast majority of my experience with the watch. Every now and then I could juuuust find the right angle in the right lighting conditions and get a good look at it.

I've heard others don't mind it though so my advice is, go find one at an AD or OB (they are not hard to find in-store now), try it on and walk around the store and take a good long look at it in as many lighting conditions as you can.

That's brutal. Sounds like I do need to check it out in person first.

Bought one of these when it first came out, The watch simply looked stunning to me, particularly with the Milanés bracelet. Fortunately, I was able to buy the watch through my AD at a substantial discount. Once I took the watch home, I found the gap in the bracelet, on the inside portion of my wrist, to be really annoying and the bracelet was simply uncomfortable. The watch itself was gorgeous. Omega now makes a smaller version of the bracelet, so that would’ve helped a lot. Flipped the watch after two weeks. If your wrist is more than 7”, you should be fine with the standard bracelet.

Yes, definitely worth handling in person. Also spin the watch around a little on your wrist, in a quiet setting. See if the rotor spin sound of the 8800 caliber bothers you.

I can't remember noticing it on the NTTD, but for what it's worth it's barely audible on the standard steel 300M...

It's pretty tame on the PO 39.5, too.

My wrist is 6.5 inch so I'll definitely have to try it out in store.

It's 8806 which is the same movement in the trilogy Seamaster. I had that one before. Not a dealbreaker but definitely would prefer if it's silent.

I had a Trilogy Seamaster too (and miss it terribly). Can't recall ever hearing the rotor on that one either.

Come to think of it, I seem to vaguely recall a thread about one of these with particularly loud rotor noise, I think it was something that ended up being replaced under warranty.
