·Rarely see people discuss Hamilton watches here. Thinking about getting a field watch. Their new field mechanical just came out and I personally think it looks great. Should I go for the new one or stick with their old officer mechanical?Thoughts?
I have both the Khaki Field and the Khaki Murph and I enjoy them both!

·Enjoying my first ever bout of Covid so I figured I’d wear the Khaki Field I bought for Mrs. Kitty a couple of years ago. Unbeknownst to her, I usually keep it set and wound. Said it before: I love my Intramatic panda, yet I’m quite taken with this one.

·First time I'm wearing this one on my wrist since it has returned from my watchmaker - it's the 1982 Limited Edition release of the Hamilton Boulton, with a mechanical movement in a 10k gold filled case. It's quite special to Hamilton history, I should write up a more detailed article on it ... but am lazy today and just happy it's finally in a wearable state. Bought that one in January of 2021 ...

So it does exist! These were heinously expensive in 1957 (which seems to be the only year it was in the Hamilton catalogue), $2200 at the time was ... beyond insanity. But it does look pretty, if not exactly understated ;-)
Still, I'd rather be hunting for a Viscount, a Robert, Golden Tempus or a Sir Echo ... there are still a lot of beautiful watches I should prowl eBay for more often. Swiss watches are a distraction, I tell you!

··So on and so on and scoobie doobie dooI was lucky to find and add a 1957 Astramatic I to my collection. One of only about a dozen or so vintage Hamilton models that came in a solid 18k gold case, and featured an uncommon grade 664 movement.
Stunning. Is that bracelet original to the watch? If so, that is even more rare.
An 18k Hamilton collection would be hard to surpass.
My wife's 18k T-101 says hi, although looks boring next to your Astramatic.
