So the only Hamilton I have left is a family heirloom: a 1940s Boulton

I will have to start calling it the "Indiana Jones", except that Harrison Ford was merely wearing a quartz re-edition in the latest film of the franchise...

Oh, I forgot to post this here. My new 1917 Hamilton 946. Which I'm wearing today.

Best I can do. My Hamilton 950B, 16-size, 23-jewels, double sunk vitreous enamel, 12-hour dial.

These 23 jewel movements are just beyond gorgeous.

Thanks for showing these two! If I "had to" get one, I would have a hard time deciding between the 946 and the 950B.

Don’t forget the Hamilton 952, (19-jewels) 950E, and 950 (both 23-jewels as well). I don’t have a 950E (sadly). I like my 950B, but the 952 and 950 are prettier. The first three pictures are of my Hamilton 19-jewel grade 952. The fourth picture shows the Hamilton 950 next to a 950B. Notable contrast!

The obvious solution is to have one of each. Here's my 950B.

Hi,

Please can I ask your advice on this Hamilton 4992b. It is not the cleanest watch but wanted to know if the dial and movement are correct. For my untrained eyes it looks fine but I am not familiar when it. The seller is selling 2 watches, I only want the Hamilton but he is insisting on getting rid of the second only also.

Any advice will be appreciated.

best

Warren

Judging from the (rather fuzzy) pictures, the 4992B looks ok.

I think just watching this one is best. With those photos it is hard to say what the condition and originality is.
