Mine from ‘82. Bought this on a whim. I now consider it one of my “never sell” watches.

After coming across this thread I wanted to contribute as I'm definitely in the Hamilton fan gang after first buying my Dad a Khaki field watch, then deciding I needed one myself.

For enjoyment versus price paid, the funky black Navy GMT watch below is probably one of my favorite watches I own after picking up this cool dial with sapphire back for only a few hundred bucks on ebay!

These watches are great. I’m a vintage Omega guy myself (no surprise there), but if a friend or coworker asks me for a practical mechanical watch recommendation, it’s Hamilton all day long.

Likewise here on loving the Omega brand first (both new and vintage), but that can get REALLY expensive so adding Hamilton to the mix adds cool, quality, good value pieces to the mix!

More recently I've added several vintage Bulova pieces (I blame @JwRosenthal and @hmmmcamu ) which also hit a sweet spot for me for quality vintage at a great price which also means I'm not scared to work on servicing/repairing mechanical movements (something I'm really scared to do on my vintage 321's and 861 movements).

Thanks for that, 10 minutes later I made an offer for a Bulova on eBay 😁
And to be on topic, I definitely see a Khaki Field Mechanic on my wrist in the future 😀

I like mine! Got it for a song from my watchmaker, who got it for a song. Have a bracelet coming for it from Germany!

I think many of us are this way. I currently have one Omega (a 14381 Constellation) and five Hamiltons (a 940 and a 992 railroader, a Perry, a Turner, a Piping Rock, and I'm currently on the lookout for a 920). It's really pretty hard to beat Hamilton.

I just wish their re-issue would be a little smaller in size.

Hard to find fault with this beauty IMO

Can anyone comment on the how the 42mm Intramatic LE (released in 2019) versus the current 40mm wears on a big-ish 7.25" wrist as I love the look & style of this reverse panda but just a bit concerned on the size (although I do love the 44mm Racing Speedie & the 41/42mm Hamiltons shown further up this thread).

I have never found any information on the production quantities of the Hamilton chrono-matics but I'd love to know. As I'm wearing my blue 11002-3 at the moment I thought I'd go back through this thread and see which are the most popular. So I found 2 pan-europ (@n-theory, @X350 XJR), 1 count-down (@n-theory), 1 Fontainebleau (@n-theory) 2 panda 11002-3s (@bristnj and guess what @n-theory again), 2 blue 11002-3s (@Aludic and mine).

So my conclusion is:
Dunno guv.

Possible further research....
.... any volunteers to go through the 8677 pages of WRUW Today?
