If you have any desire to buy another game do the voucher deal. 2 vouchers, each one redeemable for select games for $100. Zelda is $70 and other games full price are $60 so you save $30. I got Zelda and Mario 3D.

Oh no, goodbye money! How long is the deal good for? Kinda eyeing Pikmin 4...

I am near the end of Divinity Original Sin 2 ( I think.) I bought it a couple of years ago and didn't care for it after about 15 hours of play. I started it up again last month and have really enjoyed it. Guess I had to be in the mood 😁

Yea they got me hook, line, and sinker. I think it’s a new thing and doesn’t end. Vouchers expire after year. Have to be an online subscriber to do it. Library is actually pretty big with good games including Pikmin 4. It started with this Zelda launch. They knew they’d get everyone for an extra game since Zelda is $70.

You should try Tetris 99. Competing against 98 others and when you clear lines they get pushed onto other people's boards. There are different targeting strategies. Gets pretty intense and fun!

I have a playstation 5 and a Fanatec DD pro mounted to a racing seat and frame. I only have Gran Turismo 7. I bought it all because I don’t have time to get to real track days anymore and thought it would be a reasonable substitute.

I hardly play it. I remember the first few GT games and they were epic. I find the current crop of console based racers to be geared towards a more casual group of enthusiasts. I’m also supremely irritated by the fact that while you can change wheels on the cars in the game, the lug pattern also changes. Whenever I turn the game on I spend most of the time fiddling with suspension settings and doing the same track over and over.

I have recently fulfilled my dream of a small home cinema. Together with an Xbox Series X - Halo Limited Edition. Due to work, I don't get to play as often as I would like but it makes me happy just walking by it. The kid in me that wasn't able to afford a game for several months just jumps with joy. So I feel it's worth it.
Actually now that I think about it it's similar with vintage watches. Most of then I don't wear regularly but I just enjoy watching them on a daily basis.

I was huge on racing games and specifically Gran Turismo (the first 4) when I was young. I remember when 3 came out and it started getting really good. My brother and I used to play endlessly and we’d tag team the endurance races. Just don’t mess up on your stint! The Escudo Pikes Peak car was like god mode. A driving sim definitely sounds cool but I haven’t played racing games for about 15 years. Maybe one day I’ll look into it. Would be cheaper to just actually do track days on my bike at this point.

Anyone else pick up their copy of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom today? If so, what’s your verdict so far?
I played for a couple hours last night. It’s fun to start fresh. I actually didn’t quite get all of the shrines in BoTW but I upgraded and maxed most of my gear. So far it’s still basically tutorial mode learning the new powers. New powers makes since, the same stuff would be boring even though the first one is similar. Fun so far and I think will keep me captivated which is both a good and a bad thing.

Sounds fascinating but how is that possible?? As in who is guiding and turning the blocks, is it majority rule?

No, everybody plays their own game and everybody targets one other person. When you get rid of rows it adds them to the bottom of the stack of whoever you’re targeting. Then people get knocked out and the pace increases. For example, if 10 people are targeting you and you get all their garbage you’ll be toast and get knocked out very fast.

I don't have as much time these days, but I used to play a lot of RPGs and action adventure stuff. Even got into the famously hard FromSoftware games and beat all of the main line ones up until Sekiro. I'm currently and intermittently making my way through Resident Evil 2 Remake, which is solid but not very scary (the RE games are just too goofy to be frightening IMO).

I'm going to have to take that part back about the game not being scary, there's a sequence that takes place in a sewer that's both gross and terrifying in parts!

I was an hardcore gamer till University, spending a lot of time with home consoles and earlier in the Arcades.
Things changed faster when I started working. Recent games require tons of hours to be completed and spare time is no more available between adult life and family commitments.
In any way, I'm still an owner of latest Playstation 5 and its VR Headset. And it's breathtaking to see and feel how games have improved and become more immersive. I actually play few minutes a week, but they are really amazing moments!!

Diablo franchise geek here... longshot, any OF'ers playing Diablo IV?

Thought I would check as it just dropped a couple days ago.

If so, hit me up and let's kill some demons and shit.

I’m playing Diablo II resurrected on switch a bit, I’m still morally opposed to the price tag on Diablo 4 so waiting until it’s on sale

Oh shoot. I don’t really keep up with games anymore. Loved Diablo 3 though. Problem is I got the new Zelda and have only managed to play a few hours in a month or so. Gonna be hard to make room for Diablo…

I would totally take you up on that if I wasn't trapped on a Mac at home.... Maybe this will force me to buy a used PS4...
