I’m playing Diablo II resurrected on switch a bit, I’m still morally opposed to the price tag on Diablo 4 so waiting until it’s on sale

I play D2R too... let's make a time and cleanse some undesirables.

I would totally take you up on that if I wasn't trapped on a Mac at home.... Maybe this will force me to buy a used PS4...

Might be Mac compatible -- at minimum I think D2R is.

Oh shoot. I don’t really keep up with games anymore. Loved Diablo 3 though. Problem is I got the new Zelda and have only managed to play a few hours in a month or so. Gonna be hard to make room for Diablo…

I would totally play Zelda with you but I have testicles and stand while peeing. ;-p

Oh dang, I'll have to see if I can free up some time to relive my youth.

Have you given the latest two Zelda's a look? There were moments where I swear I was more challenged by BOTW than in my first run through Dark Souls. There are no goat demons spewing blood, but I feel like it isn't too far afield from Diablo.

I have a fairly beefy work computer with dual xeons and two 3090 cards which unfortunately I am not allowed to play games on... Think Gran Turismo 2. I have a gameboy emulator (lookalike gameboy using the CM3 Raspberry Pi) filled full of the vintage games my youngest likes to use. I did however get a new home laptop with a 3070ti card and pretty decent processor and memory. Its been a loooong time since I've played a game but keen to dip my toe in. Anyone gaming off a laptop? I have a pair of 30" screens with a hub that I usually use when remoting into work.
Love a good racing game or first person shooter. Recommendations for a possible comeback player who doesn't want to get addicted again...?

what uses dual 3090 since sli is dead are you rendering while animating?

I’ve seen server boards for that but not desktop.

I-Racing (online and sub based but very good -- many pros use it), any of the current Formula 1 series by Ubisoft (not the best physics but fun)... you'll be needing an above average wheel & pedals though.

Yeah was meant to take advantage of SLI but it never developed into what we hoped it would for our application. I am able to run my 3d software in realtime on one and Unreal Engine which my projects are linked into on another and bust out my sequences. Something about multiple PCI? slots I think? I guess worst use of them is that if one dies I've got a backup!

A mate (in his 60's) has this pretty good rig. I'll check out those two games.

This is @trev’s setup, dual 3080tis so a bit weaker but with 12900k all under water with standalone radiator, resolve, octane etc make good use of the dual cards without SLI so it does pretty well

Ha! That radiator is insane! Looks bigger than the one in one of my cars!
Here is mine. Yeah I know it’s dusty and I should keep it off the carpet!
I wrote ‘clean me’ on the inside of the Perspex to shame the IT guy into cleaning it this week.

1070 GTX purchased pre mining boom.

32fb of Ram as I run a lot of VM’s

on a pretty old i5 9600k no OC.

works for me and plays 1080 and 1440 games at high FPS no problem.

the 1070’s are beasts and still perform decently well as long as your not streaming or doing DLSS.

A few SSD’s and Raids 0 Black platters in there for fast bulk app storage storage.

Yeah I know I need to clean it, add in the new m.2 and move all of the VM's over to it.

I need to check how to install Diablo IV on Linux. I used to like it, so once price tag does down, maybe I'll give it a go.

Time to move on from Destiny...

Checked last night. No release date as of now for Diablo 4 on Switch. I’d post pictures of my gaming rig but it’s sad and ancient by todays standards. Could probably still run modern games on lower settings. Used to play a ton of Battlefield and some MMOs back in the day.

Mines pretty old now too, 7700k and 1080ti all watercooled, built it for overwatch when it was still new, but its doing ok still all these years later
