Not much went crazy - only a few exceptional pieces went through the roof. Questionable pieces, of which there were more than a few, went for the low end of estimates or were left on the table. I thought there were a couple of bargains.

Sorry I didn’t bid on this. Always wanted one of those limited edition chronometer Speedmasters. And this seems quite inexpensive for a gold Speedmaster with gold bracelet (albeit a later one).

Interesting that they say it has an 863 inside - that is not the chronometer version of this caliber. The 864 is the COSC version...wonder if that's a typo or if the movement is not original?

I see they refer to the serial number as the "case" number, rather than the movement number. If you look at the sales info for the Constellation below, they refer to the movement number for the serial number. That seems like an intentional thing, and coupled with the reference to an 863 rather than an 864, something doesn't seem right with this one...maybe there's a reason it wasn't all that much money.
