I want to start a frank discussion on the OB’s that I have been to and rate them accordingly. This is not a definitive list and is very subjective, as there are numerous factors that influence their interaction. Also this is in no way a criticism of the staff but is an overall feel of the store. I know that they are there to sell items to you but each one is a considered purchase due to the cost.

Obviously other people may have different experiences in the same store that I have too, but ultimately want I would like as an outcome is how can Omega make the boutiques better and have a enhanced experience.

I have come up with a few headline categories to help me come up with the best store that I have been too in no particular order.

· Friendliness

· Knowledge

· Aftercare

· Helpfulness

· Going that extra mile

· Beverage offered or not

I have been to the following stores central London:

· Bond Street

· Regent Street

· Oxford Street

· Westfield White City

· Westfield Stratford

· Harrods

Abroad, I have been to:

· 5th avenue New York

· Hamburg Germany

· Berlin Germany

· Indonesia Denpasar

· Dubaimall, Dubai

As I live in London, I have been to the London stores more often than the branches abroad.

Out of the London branches, the best experience I have had, has to be Westfield White City. The service, knowledge and interaction with the staff has been exceptional. I really cannot fault the store.

Next on the list is Regent Street. I have been in this branch numerous times to try on various time pieces and speak to them about various models. Their knowledge of Omega is exceptional.

Third is Bond Street.

Fourth is Westfield Stratford.

Generally, once you speak to the staff about the watches that I have and the models that I am interested in, they do warm to you.

Joint last is Harrods (which is a concession I believe) and Regent Street.

In both shops, you feel you have to look like you have a serious amount of wealth before they will speak to you. Maybe this is due to the general clientele that they deal with.

I have also had equally great experiences in New York, Hamburg and Berlin.

In Dubia and Indonesia, I got the impression that they did not have the knowledge base and even when I told them that I had a Seamaster 300 Spectre their faces were a complete blank.

I would like feedback and comments from the forum members on your experiences of OB branches, especially in London.

There were two AD in Jersey ,both knew their stuff and helpful, but the family run business called Letto’s just seemed to go that extra mile and never chased a sale. Today OM are sold in local the Goldsmith store and you can knock them . Brian ,in store, loves his watch and happy to chat to any novice or collector about them. Never a hard sell and always refreshment on hand. Top man as are all the staff. Oh and the other AD is still around to.

I can speak about the OB in Dubai Mall with a certain level of confidence, the staff there initially were out to cater to the Chinese and Russian customers, but now that the the tide has come down a bit, the current Store Manager and 2nd in command are Omega fans themselves. Not OF levels, but certainly enough to know the models post '95. They've also opened up an in-store Servicing station for small things like battery changes, straps, basic diagnostics and cleaning etc. 😀

I'd like to give a shout-out to the Houston OB ( hello @thatonewatchdude ) for the fantastic help of their watchmaker 😁

So I dropped by the OB today, and immediately got a warm greeting by an astronaut, who did not wear a Speedy however:

Then I found a display of delicious vintages - 2915, 2998, 105.003, 145.012 - to droll over:

First I had a 145.-12-67 head only, and B&S Lumberjack strap but no spring bars, so the OB watchmaker provided the spring bars and attached the straps:

Second, I ordered an Extract of The Archives for my Transitional, and the OB watchmaker opened the back case to get the watch serial no. He also tested it for leaks, and ended up changing some gaskets.

And third, I asked about the Apollo 11 50th anniversary Speedy and the 5-7K deposit matter discussed on OF. He took my name, the watch number(s) that I desired, and said that he would let me know whenever he got more details - without any deposit !!

Thank you very much, Houston OB 😀😀😀😀😀

I haven't been to too many OB's. The Zurich Bahnhofstrasse boutique was very friendly when I was there in June 2017, they had a display downstairs of Speedmasters. The a/c at the Geneva Boutique had conked out and it was hot in the shop. They had fans going but still a pretty muggy situation. Nonetheless I ended up buying a Speedmaster with Hesalite at a pretty good price and they threw in a strap and deployant buckle to close the sale. They efficiently sized the bracelet and got me on my way. They were very friendly.

Yesterday I dropped into the OB in San Antonio and I wasn't expecting too much. This part of the world is not exactly a watch collector's paradise. I was looking for a specific strap for my 2016 CK2998, I had the number and to my astonishment they had it in stock, but not the deployant buckle. No problem, they just took one off of one of their watches in stock and quickly put it on my watch. Raynor, the lead sales manager, was very knowledgeable about Omegas current and vintage, and watches in general. Looked at some Speedmasters while I was there. Very impressed with the experience.

King of Prussia is outstanding also good service at the Pittsburgh one.

I was not fond of the one in northern Va when I lived there. The service was not the greatest and maybe caught them on a bad day but the folks did not have the greatest attitude.

The St. Louis boutique has always left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
As a vintage fan, they have somewhat ignored me. Once I expressed a lack of interest in new watches, I have been cast aside.
Not sure I blame them.

The Bellevue (Washington) OB was not a good feel for me when I stopped in over thanksgiving break to look at the globemasters . Didn’t seem interested in helping much.

St. Louis Omega Boutique. This year at the annual Christmas Party, the Boutique asked patrons to donate to the Toys for Tots campaign. Just goes to how how much the Sales people and the managers there think about the community as well as their customers.

I can't say enough good things about the OB located in the Short Hills Mall in NJ, USA!
The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable... and even super patient with my 8 year old little guy (given, he is nearly a WIS, but still!).
Cherry on the cake is Arthur, the watch tech on site, who is a true Omega enthusiast and who is always super helpful with all my watch needs such as strap swaps.
Highly recommend that boutique!

The most important reason why I highly recommend the St. Louis OB is because it feels like I am among family when I am there. They all help each other when a customer is being attended to by that customer's sales associate. They seamlessly refocus on a new customer who arrives. No sales pressure. Just gentle offers of help. One lady came in and is considering a two watch purchase saying to the sales associate that she saw that I had been served espresso, which made her feel she should come in just because of that gesture to me from the team.

i have made purchases at Seattle/Bellevue, WA and Phoenix, AZ. Bellevue was nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me a small discount (this was about a year ago). I had no reason to be dissatisfied. Two days ago I bought a watch in the Phoenix OB, and it was amazing. I didn’t ask about a discount because I’ve read that they aren’t currently being offered. However, the warmth, knowlege, and friendliness of the staff was more than I expected. I was offered drinks from an extensive menu which included scotch! They also gave me some omega swag: a bottle of champagne, and a really nice little travel case. In hindsight, maybe I got the $30 in swag because I didn’t ask for $600 off the watch? 😀
