My favorite was in Oakbrook, IL but sadly they shut down. My contact moved to the downtown Chicago (Michigan Ave store) which I've also always had good experiences with.

Las Vegas, NV was ok but it just seemed like they were moving merchandise, not really the luxury experience I expect. Didn't really seem like pationate watch salesmen/saleswomen. Perhaps they're jaded from people winning a small jackpot in a casino and just popping in to buy something shiny.

The St. Louis boutique has always left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I always stop in when we're visiting my wife's family and always walk out thinking "I'll don't think I'll ever buy from them". Others may have different experiences but I've been in there 10+ times and never been thrilled.
I have always had a wonderful experience at the St. Louis Boutique. They are patient, knowledgeable, and act promptly to find out when ask about the ability service a vintage watch and the cost. I never feel pressured about a sale. Most of my 12 or more first visits were to look new watches and to have Vintage Omegas that I purchased elsewhere serviced and delivered back to me and purchasing Omega straps. I am sorry about your experience. The long standing sales associates are very nice, and willing to talk with me, again, without pressure. I have received an Omega candle for my birthday since I did make two purchases and an Orchid plant. I cannot say enough good about the Manager, Maria, the Assistant Manager, Donna, the experienced sales associates, Walter and Hercules.

I was in the OB in Budapest over the weekend to by my Tin Tin. The person I dealt with via email and telephone over the past few months was Gabor Retei. He has been fantastic by keeping me informed about my purchase. We had a general discussion about the LE currently available and was interested in my collection.
He was very knowledgeable about the range and informed me that his clients are already asking about Apollo 11 50th anniversary LE, which is being launched in Basel 2019.

I will give a shout out to the San Diego OB.

I'll second that. I got a bracelet for my 39.5mm PO there and they pulled one off the showroom model for me since they didn't have it in stock. Offered me a beverage and we chatted about watches while their technician installed and sized the bracelet for me. Nice experience.

OB in San Antonio for the win! Raynor and the rest of the folks do a great job.

I walked into that one with my father-in-law, and we ended up having a conversation that started off about watches, and turned to food, firearms, and the great outdoors. Turned out we were all into the same hobbies. Didn't buy anything that night, but we tried on a bunch of watches, and the guys in the shop were great. They invited us to an event they were having, but I was leaving town the next day and couldn't make it.

San Antonio is a great city.

Living in Houston I go to the boutique several times a year and even purchased my first nice watch from them back in 2010 or 2011 not too long after they opened. Staff has always been really friendly when I walk in but the knowledge has been hit and miss. I inquired about some LE watches and one of the staff didn’t really know what I was talking about. I went back this past weekend to order a Speedy racing bracelet for my FOIS and this time a lady was there who was really knowledgeable about people modifying their omega watches.

I am a fan of the OB in Berlin at KaDaWe, Upon finding out the 300MC I was purchasing was a wedding present to myself, the sales lady popped out the back and came back with a bottle of Omega branded Bollenger. As well as a Omega pen and Omega Nato strap.
I made a point of buying her a box of chocolates as a thank you.

I plan on getting a speedmaster one day, and have every intention of going and seeing her again ( Despite my speaking only Klein Kind Deutsche)

And the best Omega Boutique is….
...still Hamburg Neuer Wall, but I feel the need to give an honorable mention to the new competition on the opposite side of the road; The new Rolex Boutique (actually Wempe).

Saturday could have been a very, VERY, expensive day. I’m guessing there was easily over 50 grands worth of luxury metal on the table at one point comprising some of the following:-

Surprisingly, they had a Sub-Date to try. Wasn’t my thing after all, so heads up to anyone in the Hamburg area; no waiting list here!
Less surprisingly, the Explorer I and Polar II were my favorites, eclipsing even the white gold Day-Date and GMT models, but only just.
Conclusion: if there’s going to be a Rolex thorn amongst my Omega roses I guess it will be the White Explorer II.

Now after all that bling, I needed something soothing for the eyes, so back over the road to the Omega Boutique, to actually give one away for service (and some secret project work for Feb. 2018).

As luck would have it a young chap and his wife were sitting next to me. He was choosing his very first Omega, so I could enjoy the whole purchasing process safely at a not to far removed distance. He ended up with a Speedie 😉.

And since there were Speedies floating around it would be most remiss of me to not show the ones I tried.

Interesting; I hadn’t expected the simple action of winding a manual movement to be so satisfying. The Moon Watch has an easy action and lots of tactile feedback. I can see why Astronauts would like it.

As part of the deal the happy Speedie owner next to me was offered a slot in the watch makers course, which reminded me to book one of my own. Let’s see if I can leave the Boutique next Wednesday with one intact working movement....normally small fiddly stuff has a habit of disintegrating in my hands. I think this is how things should start and end...we shall see.

Have a great week folks! 👍

The watch makers course? Do you by chance know if this is something offered in all OBs?

Official quick answer: Yes, it should be offered at all OBs if you buy an Omega watch at the official Boutique.

Most OBs I visited won't know what You're talking about when showing an old vintage watch...
O.K. let's pop that off for an Omega service... 😡 and we all know how those watches return... luckily with the old parts included
A company soon celebrating 175 years could inform their clients better ... 🫨

I am curious on the purchasing experience of the ST2 from primarily the Omega Boutiques but also authorised dealers and is there a difference.

Is it a case from the dealers, (and potentially OB's) that here is a watch which we no nothing about for you and just want the money, or is it more involved, such as stating the history of the ST2 and Ultraman, or even something in between.

We (you and I) know from our friend what training is like, how people respond to it and what the outcomes normally are.

Now there’s one less person doing what they did (the role is open on the Swatch website), I suspect there’s even less knowledge/attention from shop staff. 😉

I want to start a frank discussion on the OB’s that I have been to and rate them accordingly. This is not a definitive list and is very subjective, as there are numerous factors that influence their interaction. Also this is in no way a criticism of the staff but is an overall feel of the store. I know that they are there to sell items to you but each one is a considered purchase due to the cost.

Obviously other people may have different experiences in the same store that I have too, but ultimately want I would like as an outcome is how can Omega make the boutiques better and have a enhanced experience.

I have come up with a few headline categories to help me come up with the best store that I have been too in no particular order.

· Friendliness

· Knowledge

· Aftercare

· Helpfulness

· Going that extra mile

· Beverage offered or not

I have been to the following stores central London:

· Bond Street

· Regent Street

· Oxford Street

· Westfield White City

· Westfield Stratford

· Harrods

Abroad, I have been to:

· 5th avenue New York

· Hamburg Germany

· Berlin Germany

· Indonesia Denpasar

· Dubaimall, Dubai

As I live in London, I have been to the London stores more often than the branches abroad.

Out of the London branches, the best experience I have had, has to be Westfield White City. The service, knowledge and interaction with the staff has been exceptional. I really cannot fault the store.

Next on the list is Regent Street. I have been in this branch numerous times to try on various time pieces and speak to them about various models. Their knowledge of Omega is exceptional.

Third is Bond Street.

Fourth is Westfield Stratford.

Generally, once you speak to the staff about the watches that I have and the models that I am interested in, they do warm to you.

Joint last is Harrods (which is a concession I believe) and Regent Street.

In both shops, you feel you have to look like you have a serious amount of wealth before they will speak to you. Maybe this is due to the general clientele that they deal with.

I have also had equally great experiences in New York, Hamburg and Berlin.

In Dubia and Indonesia, I got the impression that they did not have the knowledge base and even when I told them that I had a Seamaster 300 Spectre their faces were a complete blank.

I would like feedback and comments from the forum members on your experiences of OB branches, especially in London.

The one at Bluewater is ok
