·For sale is a very nice gold capped Alpina Francois Borgel case with guilloche dial and arrowhead markers.
Gold capped case that measures 35mm excluding the crown and takes 18mm straps. These have serious thick gold layer so it wont be anything that will wear down, you can actually see the gold layer from the backside.
Case is in overall good condition without any bigger flaws except some scratches on the caseback, case is marked 5267 so probably reference number? There is a bit of oxidation on the gold in the edges and there is a thin crack in the glass at 5 o'clock.
Original Alpina crown that have worn so the logo is not all visiable but you can still see the contours of the triangle.
Screwed down caseback which is marked with the F.B logo and patent.
Beautiful textured guilloche dial with golden arrowhead indices, hands and logo, no lume dial. The dial is not perfect and looks a bit "dirty" or a darker in tone in some areas, this can maybe be cleaned up but I'm not the man to try.
Alpina 598 movement which got a new balance last year and was installed by a private watchmaker which also gave it a service, movement is now running strong and keeping time. Sometimes when the watch have not been used for a long time you have to wind it and shake it a bit to get it started otherwise no problem, the service don't come with any guarantee.
For an additional 50EUR I will add a period correct Alpina clasp, see pictures below.
Price: 475EUR head only and +50EUR additional for the Alpina clasp net to me by paypal or bankwire. I’m located in Sweden.
