Found the most honest seller ever. I made a purchase, some what heavy item the shipping was quoted as 61.00 dollars. I paid, it was shipped two day. When I open the package, it had an envelope with a thank you note and 11.00 in cash because the shipping was less than stated.
I was floored, so 2021 is looking up.

I've gotten shipping refunds too. There are some honorable people on eBay.

Not to brag, but i do that when i sell stuff on eBay. Reputation is worth a lot more than couple of quid...

I did too! Ebay European seller (I think it was from Spain or Bulgaria, can't remember) returned me EUR6, via paypal. It wasn't a huge amount, but it was a very nice gesture and I thanked him. The 2 watches I bought worked out fine too

There are a few sellers on eBay that genuinely like selling and want a good customer experience.

Yes, some honorable users on Ebay. Unfortunately Ebay itself has some challenges when it comes to customer service when challenges arise. The story I could tell from this past 7 weeks after selling 2 items on Ebay and what transpired... But I will leave that for another day. It's draining to explain ::facepalm2::

I don’t sell very much, mostly personal items. So last week I sold an item and I advertised the item with a new battery. Is going to England , yep I forgot to put the battery in the box. I contacted the buyer and told him to get the battery and I’ll refund the cost. His reply was, don’t worry but thanks for the heads up.

I've got the opposite experience recently. Bough from Ebay, paid 40 bucks for shipping from USA to Switzerland.

One month later finally received an envelope with a 1.70 USD postal stamp on it  the rest must have been to cover seller's time. :taunt:

there must have been nothing beyond a slip of paper in it for it to have cost that little! USPS would normally just kick it back to the sender with in effect no postage on it.

I once did a BIN with a cheap price and a huge shipping cost. I messaged the guy, "you got me. I won't buy from you again."
